Natio Pen Eyeliner Review

Hello sweeties,
Felt tip liners are the greatest innovations and I have to keep one at home because gel liner does take a lot of time for perfect application. So to try out something different, I picked the Natio eyeliner pen which looks extremely black online. I have had good experience with such felt tip liners from other brands so I was expecting this to work wonders since this is definitely more expensive than the others that I have used. Let’s see whether it lived up to my expectations or not!

How to Use:
To accentuate your eye shape, apply eyeliner as close to top lashes as possible. Start with a thin line and gradually thicken it for a more defined look. For a dramatic look, line the outer corner of the eye – finish off with a little wing for an on-trend cat eye. For a softer, natural look, apply the liner, then immediately smudge it with a cotton bud.

My Experience with Natio Pen Eyeliner:

Packaging and price: The Natio pen eyeliner like the Natio eyeliner comes in a basic black glossy packaging. This one is smaller but fatter than that one. I love how small it is which is why it can be carried all around in a clutch, hand-bag and vanity too! I wish the packaging was a bit fancy because they ask for a huge price and women do appreciate a little fancy packaging. I think the pen eyeliner comes in a just one colour that is black. The price is definitely more and expensive as compared to the other drugstore brands because I would get 2 drugstore ones against this one but nevertheless it is a premium brand, so I had already a lot of expectations. It has a very fat tip which is pointy and lets us draw thin and thick eyeliner lines too, but I don’t know why I don’t really feel comfortable using this to create a thin line. I prefer using this only when I want to create a thick and dramatic look. It looks like a fat marker and smells the same way; I just hope it is not a marker 😛

Shade: The shade does not really turn up to be an intense black one because in the first swipe, it looks pretty translucent, but just adding 2 swipes over it would make it look catchy and dramatic. I draw a perfect line and then let it dry, and then swipe it again over the already drawn line once to build up the shade. The shade stays as it is till the time the liner stays.

Texture and finish: The tip glides smoothly on my eyes but stops at times in between so I pull my skin outwards, flatten it and then apply it. It looks kind of liquid at first but then settles down to a gel like finish, matte but with a hint of glossiness. It is not water-proof but water-resistant.

Staying power: It actually stays on my eyes for the entire day till the time I remove it off, precisely 8-9 hours. The pigmentation stays as it is as well, jet black! I just have to take care that I don’t smudge my eyes a lot because then it might just fade. It wipes off a little after 4 hours from the inner corners of eyes but doesn’t look that bad. It needs a powerful make-up remover since the colour is pigmented and I usually apply 2-3 coats; hence it has to be rubbed off for a while. It has to be cleaned very properly because the black colour may just stick to the undereye area. Hence, I prefer cleaning my eyes two times so that all of it comes off.

Pros of Natio Pen Eyeliner:

• Travel-friendly due to its petite size.
• Available in Natio stores and online too.
• Felt tip liner which is superconvenient to use in a jiffy.
• I can draw either a thin line or a fat line to create a dramatic look.
• It glides smoothly on my eyes.
• The pigmentation shows up really good and it turns into an intense black colour with 2-3 applications.
• It stays for 8-9 hours on my eyes as it is.

Cons of Natio Pen Eyeliner:

• Expensive.
• I am not comfortable drawing a thin liner look since the tip is fat.
• Smudges if your fingers go near your eyes.
• Substitutes available at a lower cost.

IMBB Rating: 4/5

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Natio Pen Eyeliner?
It is really good in itself but I wouldn’t recommend putting in so much money since there are other felt tip liners that are available at a lower cost which work the same way. But I am going to enjoy using this for the functions coming up!

Conclusion:
I feel the Natio skincare range is amazing, but their make-up products are overly priced, so indulge in skincare more if you want to try this brand.
