Natio Rich Lip Colour – Lychee Review

Skin tone: Medium light with cool pink undertones

Hello ladies,
I am glad that I found time to finally review the last shade from Natio’s Rich Lip Colour range, which is ‘Lychee’ (I have already reviewed Watermelon, Pomegranate and Cranberry). I have been caught up with travel and settling down. Anyhow let me quickly run down to the product details and let us see how it did for me.

My Experience with Natio Rich Lip Colour – Lychee:

I off late have developed an inclination towards neutral shades. All thanks to IMBB for I am more open-minded towards my product picks.

Packaging: All the shades from this range come in short color-coded chubby sticks with the name specified on them although you do not have the ingredient list. They do not have any outer box or package. They are easy to carry around.

Color: The color is a pretty soft milky peach shade that is not likely to suit medium-fair complexioned beauties. I would say that it is definitely a tricky shade to pull off and you will agree with me upon seeing the swatches. It can ideally be worn with a heavy eye makeup and warm blush to do justice to the shade. A smokey eye look along with an ombre lip using this shade is also how you can wisely put this shade to use. But otherwise, it is not a shade you can just wear alone and step out with ease although doing that did not turn out to be very bad for me. I pair it usually with tinted coral lip balms for a better look and for non-drying lips.

Texture and finish: The lip crayon does not weight too heavy on your lips; these chubby sticks neither have a very hydrating texture although they are enriched with shea butter and jojoba oil. All I can tell from my experience so far is that these crayons are non-drying. They are okay for fall/winters but not exactly advisable. This lip crayon delivers an even semi-matte creamy finish, which settles eventually into a drying matte especially.

Pigmentation and staying power: ‘Lychee’, although being a very soft peach color, delivers a great color payoff that is even with the very first swipe. You can maximum go until 2-3 swipes depending on the color you desire, although from my experience, I would not recommend more than two coats for overbuilding this product can eventually cause parched lips with a lot of product left on your lips which is not pleasant to look at. It does not exactly leave any pretty stain behind for you to feel good about. If you’ve got extremely dry or chapped lips I would say exfoliate your lips and use a balm before and after application. The staying power of this lip wear is mediocre and it can last a meal. The color does not move around so sipping on water does not disturb it much, but otherwise the well-pigmented crayon does not have a very promising staying power.

lipswatch

Like any other shade from this range, ‘Lychee’ also does not smell like lychees, which was quite disappointing for me. Keeping that aside, this lip crayon overall is likely to give a smooth experience in terms of texture, application, re-application and coverage even if you got pigmented lips. If you can settle with the downside of this tricky shade, it might work just fine for you. In totality, I had fun experimenting with Natio’s rich lip colour range.

Pros of Natio Rich Lip Colour – Lychee:

• Packaging – color-coded retractable short chubby stick that is travel-friendly.
• Color – soft non-neonish peach shade that is more on the neutral end.
• Can make a potential good everyday lip shade.
• Texture – smooth and non-drying that feels light on the lips.
• Offers an even finish that gives an opaque coverage.
• For a light peach color, it still manages to cover the pigmented portion of your lips.
• Easily buildable.
• Shimmer-free.
• Enriched with shea butter and jojoba oil.
• Fragrance – carries a mild fruit-mint flavor that is not impressive but neither is it disturbing.

Cons of Natio Rich Lip Colour – Lychee:

• Not a reasonably priced lip crayon.
• Limited range of shades to choose from.
• They do not exactly crease but with a mediocre coverage, they make the lip lines obvious.
• Non-impressive staying power.

IMBB Rating: 3/5

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Natio Rich Lip Colour – Lychee?
No, I do not see myself repurchasing this shade. I would explore better coral lip crayon options that are available in the market. If you like a well-pigmented soft peach lip crayon, then I would recommend this, not otherwise.
