How to use:
Apply directly onto lips. When the retractable tip gets low, simply twist the bottom of the crayon and the rounded lip colour end will extend.

My Experience with Natio Rich Lip Colour – Watermelon:

Packaging: The lip crayon comes in a simple, sturdy color-coded chubby stick that carries the name of the lip color along with the quantity and shelf-life. The ingredient list that I am particular about in all my products was not to be found on the outer seal or on the crayon which was really disappointing. Otherwise the color-coded crayon is easy to spot in your lip kit/organizer while it is equally easy to carry it around in your purse.

Color: ‘Watermelon’ is a nice bright coral shade with mild pink undertones; it is shimmer-free. Also I am a huge fan of Maybelline’s color show ‘Coral Craze’ nail paint, so this is almost a close match to that one and I cannot see myself resisting this shade. It is a great summer shade and a daytime wear. Being a gloss lover, I find shimmer-free finishes interesting which is also why I love these lip crayons.

color bullet

Texture and finish: The texture of this chubby stick is neither too heavy nor light on the lips. It is a comfortable lip wear that glides smoothly be it in the first swipe or after two to three swipes. The creamy texture does not dry out the lips but do not expect this lip crayon to moisturize your lips. The lip crayon delivers a non-drying semi-matte creamy finish that is even. With time, the finish settles neatly into a semi-matte color on your lips that does not move around. I majorly like these colored crayons for the even finish that creates no mess even after sipping on water. Unless you have the habit of licking your lips, this crayon stays in place even without the help of a liner.

Pigmentation and staying power: For a well-pigmented lip crayon compared to other brands’ lip crayons in a light coral shade that can cover up even pigmented portions in an even manner without the help of a liner or base, by default you expect it to last longer which is not the case with these lip crayons. That can be disappointing.

The other major problem with this crayon is the uneven creasing. The lip lines tend to become obvious and so is the uneven stain. You need a good makeup remover and I personally would recommend you to exfoliate before and after application. Use a lip balm underneath to make the process of removing the stain a lot easier.
I personally like a little bit of fragrance in my lip products and especially when they carry names of ‘fruits’ you tend to get your hopes high. That is a con for me as this one has a mild boring minty-fruit like synthetic fragrance that smells nothing like ‘Watermelon’.

lip swatch

To sum it up, with all honesty I find the price tag heavy and for the low staying power it has, nothing in particular about this lip crayon flatters me except for shade. Corals and peaches are soft hues of orange, so it is rare to catch hold of a lipstick/gloss/crayon that is highly pigmented.

Pros of Natio Rich Lip Colour – Watermelon:

• Color-coded retractable lip crayon; no product wastage.
• A bright peach shade with mild pink undertones.
• Does not feel too light or heavy on the lips.
• Highly pigmented for a soft shade and offers an opaque coverage.
• Carries a fruity-mint like fragrance that is not bothersome.
• Easily buildable color.
• Shimmer-free.
• Delivers an even semi-matte finish.
• Once applied, the product does not move around.

Cons of Natio Rich Lip Colour – Watermelon:

• Not a reasonably priced crayon.
• The uneven lip stain makes reapplication difficult.
• Missing ingredient list.
• Has a low staying power.
• Transfers heavily.
• Exfoliation for lips mandatory before and after application.

IMBB Rating: 3.9/5

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Natio Rich Lip Colour – Watermelon?
I wouldn’t repurchase this as of now but I might consider it in the future. I would recommend ‘Watermelon’ if are on a lookout for a coral shade lip crayon that offers a neat opaque coverage.

Verdict: It is has an impressive finish rendered by a non-neonish coral shade that is great for summer/spring.
