Before I get busy with my little bundle of joy, I thought lets use this never ending 9th month to do something interesting. Only God knows when I’ll get time to write a review next time. In my quest to find Paraben free and SLS free products, I found Upper Canada brand. Last time I had reviewed their Fruit Frappe lotion. This time I bought their Body butter.

Product Description:
A truly decadent body moisturizer, rich in natural antioxidants smoothes, moisturizes and protects your deserving skin while leaving skin lightly fragranced. Naturally Body Butter is rich in antioxidants and provides welcome relief to dry skin. Formulations are made using a combination of botanical extracts, all-natural ingredients, oils and mineral complexes purposely chosen for their known benefits to the skin.

Ingredient List:
Water/Aqua, Glyceryl Stearate, Emulsifying Wax NF, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Isopropyl Palmitate, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Seed Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed.
Mineral oil free, Synthetic dye free, SLS free and Paraben free
Packaging:

It comes in a glossy round tub like other body butters. Just scoop a small amount with your fingers and apply it generously to the dry skin areas.
Variants available:
Warm Honey Nectar, Pressed Olive Avocado, Wild Mint Lime and Cranberry Moro orange.
Price: INR 699 for 200 gms (But I got it in 50% off sale for INR 350)

My experience with Naturally Upper Canada Sweet Vanilla Fig Body Butter

Though there were various other flavors to choose which were mostly fruity, I chose sweet Vanilla fig. True to its name it has a really sweet vanilla smell which is not overpowering. It is smooth white in color and really looks like butter.
I have a little dry skin so I need to moisturize it all year round. So instead of using it in winters I’m using this butter in summers as this product claims to be oil free.
Application is very easy as it glides smoothly on your skin, only a small amount is required and it gets easily absorbed. When I use it after bath it hydrates my skin nicely without making it oily or sweaty and the feeling stays all day long. Infact when I take bath before bed even then my skin remains soft and supple. It feels extremely luxurious on my skin.

Cons of Naturally Upper Canada Sweet Vanilla Fig Body Butter

• Due to summer high temperature, the consistency becomes liquidy and it starts sticking to the edges of the tub and hence not safe to carry while travelling as it may leak.
• It’s available only at Faces Stores.

Conclusion:
I love this body butter even more then Body Shop range because it’s natural and paraben free. I will definitely buy it again and will also try it in winters as well. It’s a good buy especially during sale. Do try it ladies!!!
