This post is a review on a rather unusual product that I bought as part of my Korean skincare haul. It is an underarm darkening kit. Some of us do suffer from dark pits and joints. They can be dealt with simple home remedies, but while browsing online, I decided to give this kit a try.

1. Apply a moderate amount to your armpit while you take a shower.

1. Dry your body after shower. 2. Take moderate amount and gently apply over your armpit.
My Experience with Nature Republic Cotton Armpit Brightening Kit:
This kit contains 2 tubes – armpit wash in an 80ml tube and armpit brightening cream in a 50 ml tube. The tubes are pale green in color with cotton flowers on it. The tubes have a flip cap and can stand upright in the shower caddy or medicine cabinet. Most of the description of this product, on the packaging and the website is in Korean and this a big disadvantage for consumers across the world. The website does not lack information about the product, but it’s mentioned in Korean, and that’s a little annoying when the website caters to the customers across the globe.
Both the wash and the cream have a baby powder kind of fragrance. The wash is in a foamy consistency and has very fine gritty particles, but their density is low, so it is not abrasive like an exfoliating scrub. It lathers well and is very gentle on the skin. It does not sting even when used on freshly-epilated underarms. The cream has a body lotion kind of a consistency but is easier to spread and gets absorbed easily into the skin.
I have been using this product for a month now. The wash is good because it is gentle. The cream claims to contain niacinamide which is a well-known skin brightening agent. In my personal experience, I found out that avoiding razors and alcohol-based products is the best way to keep underarms bright. Razors lead to ingrown hair and alcohol-based products cause burns on sensitive skin and leads to unsightly appearance. I have not noticed any exceptional difference in the appearance to my underarms, so I don’t regard this product as quintessential.
Pros of Nature Republic Cotton Armpit Brightening Kit:
- An affordable underarm brightening kit which contains two tubes.
- The packaging is easy to store (can be kept upright in the cabinet) and is travel friendly, leak proof.
- No artificial color, smells like baby powder.
- The wash has a foamy consistency, contains gritty particles that feel gentle on skin.
- The cream is easy to spread and gets absorbed into the skin easily.
Cons of Nature Republic Cotton Armpit Brightening Kit:
- Availability can be an issue for some but some Korean websites do ship to India as well.
- The description is not available in English and that is a disadvantage for people like me.
- I did not notice any exceptional difference in the appearance of my underarms and I consider this kit as a luxury and not a necessity.
Would I Repurchase Nature Republic Cotton Armpit Brightening Kit?
It is an affordable arm pit brightening kit and is perfect for those who love to dabble with new products. It is gentle on the sensitive skin of the pits and did not cause underarm darkening, but I could not see any exceptional results or brightness on my underarm skin.
