The Nature’s Co. Vanilla Crème Body Wash Review

The Nature’s Co. Vanilla Crème Body Wash

Hello IMBBians!!! *pompom* *pompom* *pompom*

How are you enjoying the monsoons? The weather here in Mumbai has become just so unpredictable. It is sweltering hot at one moment and the next moment before you can realise, it starts raining heavily! Phew!!! Such confusing weather *headbang*

The Nature’s Co. Vanilla Crème Body Wash

Well all these sudden whiplashes of weather have left my skin confused too. *cry* I have normal to dry skin, which becomes pretty dry in winters. It is generally well behaved in summers and monsoons. But right now, it has suddenly become dry and stretchy.

After having a nice experience with TNC’s showel gel, I decided to try another variant from their range. While browsing through all products at the outlet, the SA introduced me to this Crème Body Wash since this is meant for dry and sensitive skin. A mere whiff of it and I was sold! Next moment I knew I was at the billing counter taking this baby home. So did it turn out to be as it claims?

Like I mentioned before, my skin was behaving erratically of late. Hence, when SA showed me this product, its claims and delicious fragrance made me buy it. I have been using this for around a fortnight now and here are my views on the product.

The body wash comes in a huge 250 ml tube packaging with flip-top lid. The packaging is very simple. Being a see-thru tube it facilitates to check how much product is left. Though it is very hygienic and apt since it becomes pretty easy to pour necessary amount onto bath loofah, I find the packaging quite bulky and not-so –travel friendly. I wish it came in travel-friendly , smaller sizes too! That way you also get to test out a product and if it works for you then buy a bigger size.

The body wash smells heavenly! It has pure vanilla fragrance. Its like somebody has thrown in an entire bottle of vanilla essence. Everytime I take a bath, I start craving for warm waffles topped with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream! Hmmm yes a little chocolate sauce on top would be wonderful!!! *drool* *drool* *drool* Too bad the fragrance doesn’t stay for long! For sometime after bath, I get very very mild powdery-sweet smell. That’s it! *waaa*

The body wash is slightly pearlescent white in color. Well frankly, since this is a ‘Crème’ body wash, I was expecting thicker consistency, like that of molten chocolate! *slurppp* (If you have used Palmolive Thermal Spa Skin Renewal shower gel – the crushed coconut one, you know what consistency I mean) However, after using it I feel the consistency is just right. Its neither too runny nor too thick. It lathers up moderately into a light creamy foam, not at all the ‘saboon wala jhag’. So if you are someone who like their bath products to lather up a lot, this might not be your fave in this department ! I’ve tried using it with loofah as well directly, it lathers well on a loofah ( I need around two coin size product per bath ), whereas when used directly I need twice the quantity with lesser lather.

One thing I absolutely love about this body wash is how moisturising yet light it is. It leaves my skin hydrated but does not make it oily or greasy. Most other ‘hydrating’ shower gels that I have used were from Nivea (with their Hydra IQ funda) and Dove. I had noticed that these leave a very thin film or cast on the skin after using them. You know the slippery, “I-haven’t-rinsed-it-well” feeling! Now, this TNC one doesn’t leave any such funny cast on my skin. It just makes my skin soft and supple after every bath. Even after long time after bath, I feel my skin supple and nourished. I won’t say it is ultra-hydrating and saviour of the dry skin beauties. It might not be sufficient for winters, but you won’t have to scurry for your skin lotion immediately after bath. Skin would not feel stretchy till relatively longer than most other body washes I’ve tried. I like it! I can totally skip moisturiser in summers and monsoons by using this! *haan ji*
Though it claims it is meant for sensitive skin, I cannot comment on that since I do not have sensitive skin. I do feel it might work, since the texture and the way it lathers is pretty mild. Plus it does not leave any cast behind. If you have sensitive skin, do try at the store first and then decide.

So here’s summing up the pros & cons for you:

Pros of The Nature’s Co. Vanilla Crème Body Wash

1. Heavenly delicious vanilla fragrance.
2. Hygienic tube packaging with flip-top lid.
3. Good value for money. You get 250 ml of this wonderful product at Rs.925 that should ideally last me for around 2 months when used regularly.
4. Lathers up into mild, creamy, light foam.
5. Leaves no unnatural, slippery cast on skin. Gives clean and soft skin with every bath.
6. Hydrates the skin well. (though it may not be good enough for people with extremely dry skin, or in winters)
7. Made from from natural products.
8. It’s vegan and not tested on animals, plus the packaging is recyclable. Indeed a eco-friendly product.
9. Claims to work well for sensitive skin too (Though I cannot vouch for the same)

Cons of The Nature’s Co. Vanilla Crème Body Wash:

1. Bulky packaging. While travelling, I will have to transfer some into travel size bottles.
2. Available in only one size. They should really bring smaller version of this.
3. Pricey when compared to most shower gels available. (Even TBS offers such wonderful shower gels at lesser prices)
4. Fragrance doesn’t linger on body for long. At this price point I would loved if fragrance could have stayed longer. But then maybe since it is meant for sensitive skin, its purposely that way.

Verdict:

I love experimenting with different bath products, so very rarely do I go back to the same product. However, in winters I might get this if my skin feels too dry. Probably in a different variant – mango!
There’s nothing in this product to hate, but nothing to fall head over heels in love with it! So I guess , I’d settle for a ‘I like it!’ status.

Would I recommend The Nature’s Co. Vanilla Crème Body Wash?

Yes! If you are okay with the price and love vanilla-smelling bath products , give it a try!

P.S. : Those tea-light candles in the background of all pics are also vanilla ! What co-incidence….! Or am I just turning into a Vanilla – Addict !!! *hihi*

    1. Awwww I kno I totally hate the current weather! *spank* btw congratulations 4 completing 100 post! Tat is just so amazing! *clap*

  2. I have been using the vanilla creme body wash for the last 3 years. I used to purchase this from the Phoenix mall outlet in Bangalore until it was closed, since then I have been purchasing this product online. I’ve noticed significant variation in packaging, colour n consistency of the body wash. In the beginning it was in liquid oil but recently it is almost a thick gel with semi solid pieces. It used to help reducing my pigmentation but off late it is causing a lot itching.
