Nature’s Essence Acne Magic Antiseptic Face Wash Review

Hi Everyone!

I have suffered from acne ever since I was in my teens. I have to take care of my skin every single day, else a breakout ensues. I do have a skin care regimen that I follow without any slacking, but once in a while, in spite of all the hard work, I do get breakouts and I don’t really like waltzing in dermatologist’s any more. So, I keep trying products, especially face washes and creams that could help me with my acne problem and this was one such product that I bought last month.

My Experience with Nature’s Essence Acne Magic Antiseptic Face Wash:

The face wash comes in a small white tube with a screw on cap that can also be flipped open to reveal a small nozzle through which the product can be dispensed.  The flip open part of the cap is flimsy as the product kept leaking, so I had to store it upside down.

Coming to the product itself, it is a transparent gel of medium consistency, neither thick nor runny. It has a very light green tint and smells lightly of neem leaves without the bitterness associated with them. I liked the smell as I associated it with the feeling of freshness.

The first time I used the face wash, I took about a pea-sized amount. It did not lather at all. I added some more to amount to about a coin sized quantity. This time, it did lather, but not quite. I have used some pretty good non-foaming face washes in the past that I have liked, so I thought, maybe it could join their ranks. I washed it off, but the soapy feeling did not leave me. I hate that feeling. I washed my face vigorously till that soapy feeling got washed off. When I dried my face, I did not get the “squeaky clean” feeling that I am used to. I washed my face again and only then did my face feel really clean, but I decided to give it a chance before writing it off. Maybe it would work on my acne? But I was thoroughly disappointed.  I have used up the entire tube and my acne persisted as always. No action at all. This is among the worst face washed I have used.

Pros of Nature’s Essence Acne Magic Antiseptic Face Wash:

  • Cheap.
  • Gel based, which is good for oily skin.
  • I like its mild neem-like but not bitter smell.

Cons of Nature’s Essence Acne Magic Antiseptic Face Wash:

  • I used up the entire tube and found no action on acne.
  • Takes a lot of washing to get off that soapy feeling even though it does not lather a lot.
  • I don’t know if it’s just me, but I am used to my skin feeling crystal clean after washing and I don’t get that feeling unless I take a huge amount of the gel.

IMBB Rating:

1/5
