Off late I’ve been using a lot of Nature’s Essence products. They are dirt cheap, usually highly effective and easily available. Their one characteristic that I really don’t like is the way they smell. But today I’ll review for all of you one of their products that isn’t so hard on your nostrils. Today I’ll review for you Nature’s Essence Neem and Aloevera Moisurising Lotion.

Price:

Rs. 85 for 60ml.

Product Claims:

A handpicked blend of antiseptic neem and nourishing aloe vera extracts. Added aroma oils soothe the mind and body and give a nourishing treat to your skin.

Ingredients:

Neem, Aloevera extracts and aroma oils. No other ingredients mentioned.

My Experience with Nature’s Essence Neem and Aloevera Moisturising Lotion:

The product comes in a transparent plastic tube which has green graphics about it. The cap is pretty sturdy and will not open in the bag. If someone is not aware of how great some of the products of Nature’s Essence are, he/she is definitely going to overlook this one as it looks like some cheap cream manufactured locally. But as they say you must never judge a book by its cover. It turned out to be pretty decent a product. The lotion is white in colour with a greenish tint. The consistency is that of a normal lotion, not at all runny. My prior experience with Nature’s Essence had led me to believe that they generally worked fabulously on the skin, but almost always smelt atrocious. But not this one. The smell of this product is that of the generic smells of homeopathic creams. It isn’t delightful but at the same time, nothing offensive. The lotion gets absorbed easily on to the skin. It is not at all oily, doesn’t make the skin greasy and once absorbed, makes the skin soft and supple, instantly moisturized. It is a light moisturizer, so if you are looking for some deep moisturisation, this product isn’t the one for you. The smell does linger on for quite some time. The skin remains moisturized for about four hours or so, before it starts to get dry. I have a habit of washing my hands gazillion times during the day and I needed a cheap moisturizer to apply on my hands each time I washed them, so this one works for me even though the moisturizing action does not last long. If you are looking for something that will keep your skin hydrated throughout the day, you’ll want to skip this one. But if you are looking for a decent budget moisturizer and are willing to re-apply every couple of hours, you could look into this one. All things taken, a decent budget product.

• Decent moisturising properties.
• Not at all greasy or oily.
• Does not smell bad unlike some of the other Nature’s Essence products.
• Small tube that can be easily carried along in the bag.
• Contains neem, which is antisepectic.

Cons of Nature’s Essence Neem and Aloevera Moisturising Lotion:

At the price that it comes, none whatsoever. Some SPF would have been good, but I’m not complaining.
