Neutrogena Fine Fairness Toner Review

Neutrogena Fine Fairness Toner

Hi lovely ladies,

Today I shall be reviewing a toner. Actually it is not my purchase, my SIL came to stay with us and she was on the second bottle of this toner so I thought I shall share her experiences with you all. Despite the product not being for oily skin, I did try the product for the review. Please read on further to find out how it fared on her as well as me:

My take on Neutrogena Fine Fairness Toner:

Packaging: It comes in a sturdy plastic cylindrical bottle which is transparent. I like all transparent packaging as it is very easy to find out how much is left and what is used. There is a silver screw cap at the top which is quite tight. Underneath is a stopper with a hole. The hole is just right to take out some toner on the hand or to be dabbed on the cotton wool. There would be no leakage or spillage inside a bag but a smaller bottle would have come handy while travelling.

Consistency: It is a water like liquid like all other toners. It gets absorbed pretty fast on my SIL who has dry skin but on my oily skin it takes time to seep in. There was no greasy/sticky feeling or whitish cast on either of our’s face.

Fragrance: It has a sweet smell which is soothing to the senses. I personally do not like my cosmetic to smell of anything as I am apprehensive about the products used to create the artificial fragrance. Anyways, it will not be bothersome even for sensitive noses as it comes to be very mild and sweet. The fragrance lingers for quite a long time post application.

Efficacy: For dry skinned beauties, it should work just fine. My SIL has open pores on the cheeks and around the nose and believe me there was a remarkable difference. Her skin has become more evened and the pore size has also shrunk. There is also an instant brightening effect on the skin but that does not last very long. Her skin also felt soft and hydrated. On my oily skin however there was no visible difference, my skin felt oily in one hour’s time only and I was blotting the excess oil. I also got a few zits on my forehead in two days of application. Last but not the least neither of us became fairer.

Cons of Neutrogena Fine Fairness Toner:

1. It is an alcohol based toner so may not suit people who have sensitive skin.
2. Will not suit oily skinned beauties.

Will I buy/ Do I recommend Neutrogena Fine Fairness Toner ?

No, I will not buy since I have oily skin but I would recommend it to dry skinned beauties.
