How are you all? Diwali is over, and the Shaadi season is here. Coming to today’s review, it is a must-have product this wedding season. It is a cleanser-cum-make up remover from Neutrogena. This is a new launch from Neutrogena for oily/combination skin.
Price: INR 399 for 200ml.
My Take on Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser:
As we all know, one of the most important part of make- up is its removal. If you want your skin to be clean, clear, infection and damage free, it is very important that every last trace of make-up is removed before you go to bed. Now, I do have an eye & lip make-up remover for all the waterproof eye make-up, but what about my waterproof face foundation?? I sure don’t want to bathe in oil to get rid of it! This is where this make-up remover cum cleanser comes into picture.
The cleanser comes in a big pump bottle. The size of the bottle is not at all travel friendly. One full pump is required to get rid of my entire make up and clean my face. The liquid is sparkly whitish and the consistency is that of a shampoo. I normally wet my palms first, take the cleanser on my palms and rub the palms to form a rich lather. The name says ‘foaming’ but it does not foam as much, probably because it’s soap free. It does lather like a shaving cream and it removes all of my face make-up, waterproof eye make-up, stubborn mascara and everything in one go. It does not sting the eyes at all, that’s what I really like about it.
Even when you have no make-up on, this one acts as an effective cleanser. It removes all traces of oil and dirt from the face which a face wash might have missed. The facial skin feels really really clean. The only con with this is that since it removes every trace of oil, the face feels a bit dry and devoid of moisture. But this is a cleanser and I am anyway expected to follow it up with a toner and moisturiser so I am not complaining here.
And yes, apart from being a make-up remover and a cleanser, I also use it for cleaning my make-up brushes. I take some water in a glass, pump some of the liquid in it, make a frothy mixture and dip my brushes in it for some time. They come out real nice and clean. 😀
All in all, I am very happy with this product!! 🙂
Here, I have swatched some waterproof make-up (Colorbar lipstick, Maybelline eye liner and L’Oreal kajal) and tried cleaning with the cleanser.
Pros of Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser:
- Soap free, oil free, alcohol free, non-comedogenic.
- Comes with a pump dispenser.
- Removes all sort of waterproof make-up effortlessly.
- Excellent cleanser- removes dirt and oil from face.
- Does not sting the eyes.
Cons of Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser:
- Might be drying for dry skin.
- I wish the bottle came in a smaller size too.
Do I Recommend Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser?
Dry skinned beauties can skip this. It’s worth a try if you have combination/oily skin.
Will I Repurchase Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser?
Without a doubt, yes!! As long as I continue doing make-up, I will be needing this in my life!!
