Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer Norwegian Formula

Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer (Norwegian Formula)

I saw this product in its rack while I was shopping, which said “no wax feeling.” I thought of trying this as the Lotus lip balm has a waxy feeling.

What the Product Claims?

Lip Moisturizer softens, smoothes and protects dry, chapped lips with no waxy feel.

Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer

This moisture-enriched formula soothes and conditions your lips, keeping them healthy looking and soft in all weather. Contains a PABA-free SPF 15 sunblock for added protection from the sun.

Leaves lips soft, smooth and moisturized.

• PABA-free.
• Fragrance-free.

Price and Quantity:

Rs. 90 for 4 gm.

My Experience with Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer (Norwegian Formula):

It is a twist-up tube which makes its usage very comfortable. It is a colourless and odourless lip balm which has SPF of 15 for protection from sun rays. It is free from PABA (para aminobenzic acid), which may cause allergy to sensitive skin. PABA is usually used in sunscreens. Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer has no waxy feeling. In fact, I never felt that I had applied something on my lips and one roll of it is sufficient. Re-applying is required at regular intervals, around once in 4 hours.

I apply overnight and in the morning and my lips remain tender and softened. It moisturizes my lips. Sorry, I do not know anything about Norwegian Formula.

I found its warning message too scary in its pack. It says to contact Poison Control Center if swallowed.

5

Pros of Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer (Norwegian Formula):

• It is free from colour and fragrance.
• Has no waxy feeling.
• Contains SPF 15 which is an added advantage for protection from sun rays.
• Free from PABA.
• Very neat and hygiene packing.
• Easy to carry while travelling.

Cons of Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer (Norwegian Formula):

• Colour and fragrance free is its property, but I always prefer products with sweet smell and a light tinge of colour.
• Re-applying is needed at regular intervals.
• Scary warning message, feels like I have applied poison to my lips.

Rest all is fine with it.

Rating:

I give 3/5.
Will I Buy it Again?

Product wise, it works fine as it claims, but I found only one advantage over the Lotus lip balm and that it has no waxy effect.  I would like to continue using Lotus lip balm.

  1. Scary warning indeed Meghana 🙂

btw this is one of the best lip balms i have used (and still using!) its almost to the end but dont want to throw it away 😉

  2. i wanted buy this after finishing my maybelline cranberry lip balm :haanji: but that warning is really scaring me :yikes: coz i hav the habit of eating all my lipstick, lip balms and lip glosses

  3. Good review Meghana…..usually I like my balms to smell good….but each one that i have do have that waxy sticky feeling….only one or two non-waxy kinds…. :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo:

  4. i have this one n love i  t..but i too prefer it wd a bit of sweet smell  ….. oderwise nivea care n protection is also good…its bit waxy, but good for my dry lips.. :-* :-*

  5. Some companies give that warning on all its products. It’s some compliance thingy here. In India no one cares much and no one will fight with the comanies so sab chalta hain.
    Nice review though 🙂

  6. Hi! Just a note on the warning, coming from the US, in my experience almost EVERY non-food item has that warning on it to contact a poison control center, even toothpaste. It’s nothing to get too worried about. Since this is a lip product a little is bound to get ingested, but not enough to do any damage.

  7. Meghana I love the hand cream from the Norwegian line and the lotion which was discontinued. :)) I’d like to try the lip balm also, though that warning is scary.
