Hope you are fine and enjoying year end with new resolutions and new hopes. I am busy with year end celebration preparation now! Though this place makes me nostalgic often, I do love this loneliness which helps to connect me with my soul, my soul mate, and my little wonder Aadi 🙂 Moreover, its a treat being here, especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas time as every shop and every locality is beautifully decorated. I will share some pics of beautiful decorations if possible! We usually go for long drive at night, just to enjoy the decorations and lights all around. We also have decorated an X-mas tree today for aadya and my santa aka hubby as he is going to celebrate his birthday on the 25th of December. I am hoping my santa baba aka my hubby drops in some MAC items happily in my socks this Christmas, though am supposed to treat him on his birthday 😛 Anyway, let’s move on to the review which is dedicated to winter skin care regime. I am not a die-hard fan of Neutrogena Cosmetics, but somehow its skin care regimen impressed me. I am currently following CTM routine with Neutrogena Cleanser and multivitamin nourishing moisturizer. Please read further to know about the cleanser.
$ 6.97 for 6 Fl Oz, may vary from store to store.
Enjoy clear, smooth skin with the Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser. It contains natural salicylic acid that is extracted from willow bark to gently scrub away impurities such as oil, dirt and makeup. The willow bark also detoxifies your pores to improve your complexion, leaving your skin fresh and clear. This chemical free natural facial cleanser is infused with bionutrients to promote healthy skin, and it effectively smoothes your skin while restoring its elasticity. The Neutrogena facial cleanser is safe for all skin types.
It comes in an ordinary translucent white bottle packaging which is not at all travel friendly as the fluid may leak through the flip top opening at any time, even with mild pressure. Nothing fancy about it but I do believe now that good things always come in small ordinary packages. The watery fluid is runny in nature with slight pungent odour.
My Experience with Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser:
I am already impressed with Neutrogena Naturals range after using Neutrogena Naturals Multivitamin Nourishing Moisturizer. They claim their ingredients are 90% naturally derived with no sulphates, no parabens, no petrochemicals, no pthalates, no harsh chemicals, and no dyes respectively. So, I was keen to try the whole “Neutrogena Naturals” series. The best part is that its mentioned here that its suitable for acne-prone skin and maintains skin elasticity. Though its all natural, still it makes a rich lather, and the skin feels really clean and clear after using it. This cleanser is not at all harsh on the skin and its okay to use it more than twice during winters followed by moisturizer unlike other face washes which cause dry and flaky skin if used twice, especially in winters!
Moreover, it does what it claims up to some extent, as I can feel smooth skin within a week of using it twice daily. It effectively removes face make up without clogging up pores, though its not that effective for removing eye makeup. It keeps all acne and zits at bay and my face remains shine free up to 6-8 hours with or without make up. Sometimes it causes a little sensation on my skin which may be due to the peeling effect as I can see brand new skin coming beneath the dead and peeling skin. So for me it also acts as a mild exfoliant! I only feel disturbed by its pungent smell, though it disappears the moment I rinse it off. I think I am all set with Neutrogena Naturals new skin care regime for winters and I am thinking of getting the other two products from the same series namely: Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Pore Scrub and Multivitamin Nourishing Night Cream to get maximum benefits. It feels great to know that I am using less chemicals and all natural anti-ageing products on my skin.
Let’s sum up pros and cons:
Pros of Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser:
- 90% naturally-derived ingredients.
- No harsh chemicals, dyes, parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals or sulphates.
- Suitable for all skin types, especially acne prone and oily skin.
- Does what it claims decently.
- Does not clog pores and removes face make up gently.
- Also acts as a mild exfoliant, though not specified anywhere.
- Product is not tested on animals.
- It has anti-ageing properties.
Cons of Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser:
- Pungent smell, however, it disappears after rinsing off completely.
- Packaging is not travel friendly.
- It won’t remove eye make up effectively.
As of now, its clearly an essential part of my daily winter skin care regime. I would be loyal to this product till summers arrive. I would definitely recommend it to all acne-prone and oily skin beauties, ek try toh banta hai 😛
On a different note, here comes aadya’s santa baba tree! She claps and giggles on jingle bells, jingle bells 🙂
Hope you liked review. Merry Christmas. Take care!!
