While visiting Health & Glow, I came across this sunscreen and thought I might find in this a cheaper everyday option. Shiseido is absolutely fantastic but not very pocket friendly, is it! So I quickly checked IMBB for a review and was surprised that the same had not been reviewed. This was way back in July. And I am surprised that this still hasn’t been reviewed. So here goes…

My Experience with Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Complete UV Moisture:
My skin type – I’m at the wrong side of 30 with oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin. Skin is oily in summers and combination in winters.
While Shiseido Perfect UV Protector is my HG foundation, I didn’t mind checking something which would be easier on the pocket. I had earlier tried Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock. However, I didn’t like how dry and powdery it felt. The SA in the shop told me that this one works as a moisturizer and sunscreen – I obviously jumped at the idea of cutting out a step in the skincare regime and picked this up.
As per the claims, it help skin against dehydration, while still being oil free and non-greasy. The product is a runny white liquid which is light-weight, easy to apply and spread on the skin. It blends easily onto the skin and gets absorbed fairly quickly without leaving any tell-tale whiteness.
The finish is not matte or dewy either. It just looks like healthy skin. However, after 4.5-5hours, there is shine on the face and you need a powder touch-up. It did not seem to effect the application of the foundation but the shine post 5 hours does.
Its easy to take off too – my makeup remover/cleanser takes care of removing it effectively from skin.
The product seems fairly good and would have made a perfect everyday sunscreen except for one tiny crucial little thing – it breaks me out!! I used this – broke me out. I stopped using it for sometime, tried again after a week or so – again broke me out!
So, I’m forced to introduce sunscreen into my hubby’s routine – I’ve passed this onto him. But he still isn’t very regular with it. I’m trying…
To sum this up for you –
Pros of Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Complete UV Moisture:
1. Extremely lightweight
2. Absorbs quickly
3. Spreads easily
4. No white cask at all
5. No sign of greasiness when you apply
6. SPF 50 PA+++ – Full spectrum UV protection
7. Does not seem to need settling time – blends effortlessly.
Cons of Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Complete UV Moisture:
1. Breaks me out!
IMBB Rating: 4/5
The product is really good, except for the breaking out part, of course. But that could easily be specific to me. So, if it doesn’t break you out, this could easily by HG material. See if you can test it on your face before picking up a bottle – that’ll help.
Will I repurchase Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Complete UV Moisture?
