Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser

Hey Ladies,

I have been trying out this Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser because it claims to help pimples and blackheads to disappear. I have acne-prone skin and usually around the “time of the month” or when I eat too much chocolate, I tend to get a few pimples.

Price:

7-8 $

I have been using this for about 2.5 months and I really like it so far. I usually wet my face with warm water and take my facial brush that I wet before as well and pump some of the cleanser on top of the brush and start rubbing it all over my face starting off at my cheeks.

I noticed that my face smells weird after I wash it with this cleanser, almost like a mix of deodorant and sweat :/, it doesn’t bother me that much though. As you can see, I still have more than half of the bottle left, which means it will last me another 2.5 months.  It did help my blackheads a little bit, but overall, I don’t feel like I noticed a difference. Maybe I need to use it for a longer period of time to see results. My skin feels fresh and clean and for some reason, I love the color of the cleanser. You don’t see a pinkish cleanser everywhere!

I am pretty sure I will be finishing it in 3 months or so but in case you have more than one facial cleanser, this will expire after 12 months of opening it.

Pros of Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser:

  • Will last for a long time because it has got a lot of product in the bottle.
  • “Developed with dermatologists.”
  • Lasts 12 months from the day of opening.
  • Price is reasonable.
  • Skin feels fresh and clean.

Cons of Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser:

  • It does feel like its drying your skin a little.

Last Word on Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser:

I really hope it’s going to help my acne-prone skin, but so far, even after 2-and-half months, I don’t see a big difference, but maybe, if I wouldn’t have used this, my skin would have looked worse. I did notice though that my skin hasn’t gotten worse ever since I have started to use this cleanser. It is definitely worth a try because of that amazing feeling of “cleanness” and knowing that dermatologists created this cleanser.

Have a good day!

  1. Good Review Sahar. I agree on the drying part. It is too drying for most skin types except oily skin I had a very bad experience with Neutrogene Oil- Free Acne wash. It reduced the pimples but it made my sensitive combination skin so dry that I couldnt apply any toner or cream as it burned on my skin. It was parched and dry for 2 weeks. Neutrogena doesnt work for sensitive skin :spank: :spank:

  2. Nice review Sahar. may be you can try the Oil-Free Acne Wash Redness Soothing Gentle Scrub (with aloe and chamomile)..it helped me quite a bit..

  3. Sadly, 🙁 Neutrogena cleansers does not work for me as well. they make my skin dry… 🙁 though i do have combination skin but still they dry me out.. anyways… nice review sahar.. nice pics…

  4. nice review sahar 🙂 you may want to try saslic face wash, the orange one is really mild yet efective :specs: :specs:

  5. I’ve had some of the worst experiences with Neutrogena cleansers/facewashes. :scream: :scream: :scream: :yuck: :yuck: :yuck:

Good to know it worked for you!

  6. I use the oil free acne wash. I wanted to get this one but the lady at walgreens tipped me not to 🙂
there are sooooo many face washes now. have you tried Purity by Philosophy? its great for combo skin. Im using it since a year now

  7. Neutrogena cleansers didnt suit me too.. I suggest u to change ur cleanser as u say it is bit drying.. Regular use of such cleansers may make ur skin dry and lead to acne.. That’s what happened to me.. Go for cetaphil cleanser that’s the best for acne prone or any other mild cleanser that suits u :)) ..

  8. i am quite particular about how my face wash smells. it sort of bothers me quite a bit. :struggle: but good it is working for you and yeah you are right such pretty looking cleansers are not available everywhere. 🙂

  9. I bought the whole series yesterday and I can tell a difference already! If you experience a dryness you should probably get the scrub and moisturizer aswell. I use all these three in the following order: Wash, scrub and moisturize. It is VERY important to always keep your skin moisturized if you have an issue with pimples, this because if your skin gets too dry you automatically get more pimples, way of nature haha 🙂 The only thing you need to remember is to not use a moisturizer with oil, they clog your pores. It needs to be oilfree!!!

Well, results are individual and I am already in my twenties so my pimples are few, but still! These products make me feel fresh and confident.
