You know why?, because all the products that I have reviewed before had the same disadvantage AVAILABILITY…..at least this one is available in India easily…hehehe….So everyone over here is familiar with Maybelline and their gel eyeliners. Maybelline has come out with a new avatar of their lasting drama gel eyeliner. Read on to find out how good is this avatar…

The improved formula glides smoothly, making a line without creasing. The customized brush allows a line to be drawn as desired from fine to thick. The creamy gel texture dries quickly after application. It is water-proof and smudge-proof, where the formula resists to sweat, tears, sebum, and water.

My Take On Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Black:

So, I have not used any kind of gel eyeliners before this one. I have always used the liquid ones, because it was never difficult for me to apply it properly. But the advantages of being a makeup junkie is you keep on adding things even if you do not need it; especially if it is on sale, so I bought it. The product comes in a small jar packaging with a screw lid. I find the packaging cute and travel-friendly.

The consistency of this product is just like kohl in a jar. During application I have noticed that this indeed is very smooth and glides easily as per the company claims. If you are an expert with these kind of eyeliners (which slowly I am becoming), 😉 then you can apply this in one sweep stroke. I have not used it on my water line, but I have used it on my lower lash line and there is no kind of irritation that I observed. This product has no fragrance at all which is good for me; as weird smells are off-putting.

With the staying power, I do not know how long it is; but I had it on for 9 hours continuously and it did not smudge at all. I have normal eyelids, so do not know about oily lids 🙁 . It also comes with a brush to use. And let me tell you it is the perfect match for this eyeliner. It is not too hard or too soft; it is just what it needs to be. The brush does not shed on me at all. It makes the application so easy.
