My Experience with New York Color Smooth Skin Liquid Foundation:

It comes in a cylindrical bottle with a screw-on lid. The flat wand is provided to pick up the product and ensure hygiene. The product details are written on the product body.

Firstly, I won’t call it a bad foundation, I would rather say it was a bad decision. Since I had told my friend to get it for me, I had selected the shade online. “Classic Beige” is a beige shade but lacks the yellow undertone to make it work for Indian skin tone, so it looks ashy on me, but if I wear it with a color correcting powder, it looks reasonably well.

The smell is weird to say the least. I am not at all a fan of its smell and that is perhaps a major reason why I don’t use it often. The texture is not very thick, in fact, it is lighter than Maybelline Fit Me Foundation. It gives medium coverage, make skin look brighter and fair (although slightly grey in my case).

It doesn’t cause sweatiness or discomfort, so you can wear it with ease. The formula is easy to blend and comfortable to carry. It doesn’t oxidize after some time and stays well set for 4-5 hours after which the need for a touch up is felt. If the shade matched my skin and the smell weren’t bothersome, I would love to reach for it often.
