Nexcare Face Cleansing Pads for Normal to Dry Skin

Nexcare Face Cleansing Pads for Normal to Dry Skin

I have been travelling a lot these days and have been on the lookout for some handy wipes/cleansing pads to clean my face. So I thought of giving this one a try. There are two variants available in these cleansing pads – ‘Normal to Dry Skin’ and ‘Normal to Oily Skin’. Since I have very dry skin I opted for the ‘Normal to Dry Skin’ variant. Read on to see how this one fared for me.

My experience with Nexcare Face Cleansing Pads for Normal to Dry Skin:

The cleansing pads come in a pack of 4 in a re-sealable plastic pouch. Each cleansing pad is a light peach in color. It has absolutely no fragrance or odor. It’s slightly rough in texture, and the pad has a synthetic feel to it (since it’s made of synthetic fiber). I personally find it too rough for my facial skin.

It claims to clean away makeup. I moistened the pad with warm water and rubbed it slightly to activate the lather. I used it all over my face. It lathered really well. I then washed the lather off with plain water. I don’t really use too much makeup on a daily basis. I use BB cream, Kajal, Mascara and a lip gloss/lipstick. However, the texture of the pad is so rough; I did not dare to use it over my eyes to remove my eye makeup. Nevertheless, after use, though the rest of my face appeared thoroughly cleansed, it left my skin super duper dry. Even though this is meant for dry skin, there was absolutely no moisturizing effect of these pads. But let me mention, it neither irritated my skin nor broke me out. I am specifically mentioning this since none of the Kara wipes variants suit me. They irritate my facial skin, make it itchy and leave me with tiny rash on my face whenever I use them.

This is how the moistened and lather-activated pad looks:

Here is a demonstration of how it works at removing makeup. In this picture I have swatched (L to R) Lakme Eyeconic Eyes Mascara, Lakme Eyeconic Eyes Kajal, Coloressence Lipstick, Maybelline BB cream, Lakme Jewel Sindoor

None of the products I have swatched above are really long staying ones except the Eyeconic Eyes Kajal. But this one failed to clean even the above mentioned products easily.

Would I pick Nexcare Face Cleansing Pads for Normal to Dry Skin again?

No. It’s too rough and abrasive for facial skin. Does not remove makeup easily either. I cannot think of a single reason to pick it up again or even recommend it to anyone!
