Nina Ricci perfumes are pure magic and enchantment. Today, I will review the limited edition variation on the iconic Ricci fragrance “L’air du Temps.” This Eau de Toilette has been named “L’eau du temps” by the fashion house.

Nina Ricci Perfumes is a unique collection of luxury perfumes. Their delicate floral fragrances are designed for the elegant, eternal woman, with a twist of modernity. The L’eau du temps was launched by the fashion house in 2006. It is an Eau de Toilette and therefore costs much less than eau de parfum or Espirit de Parfum. The Eau de Toilette contains around 5-10% perfume concentration against the Eau de Parfum, which contains around 10-20% and Espirit de Parfum, which contains around 15-40% perfume concentrates. The price naturally depends on the quantity of the perfume extracts used.

PRICE: While L’eau de temps is priced at around $70, the EdP L’air de temps is priced at $90 for the same amount. The difference in price is clearly due to the difference between EdT(eau de Toilette) and EdP (eau de Parfum).

Alcohol denat., fragrance(parfum), water, linalool, alpha-isomethyl ionone, benzyl saucylate, limonene, butylphenyl methyl-propinal, hexyl cinnamal, farenesol, hydroxycitronellal, benzyl benzoate, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, butyl methoxydibenzolymethane, geraniol, ethylhexyl salicylate, citronellol, citral, benzyl alcohol,coumarin, BHT, isoeugenol.

The signature flower of L’air du temps, Gardenia, is evoked here again along with carnation, jasmine, tuberose and iris. “A perfume is intimately tied to images that inspire dreams. Its bottle helps visualise the fragrance and triggers the imagination. The beauty, quality and sophistication of these original pieces comprise a unique collection in keeping with the finest French tradition of prestige perfume art and creation. Each piece is handcrafted using traditional crystal-making techniques: polishing, cutting, sand-etching to obtain effects of transparency, ground stoppers, etc.” The crystal bottle is designed by Lalique who designed many other iconic perfumes too.

What Nina Ricci L’eau du Temps Means to Me:

The beauty of the bottle lies in the stunning colour combination of blue and white and enhanced by the sweet exotic yellow shade of the EDT. The exquisite design of the two birds twirled together further makes stronger the message of love, romance, life and peace for which the toilette and the 1948 perfume stands. It is a bottle can is expensive in itself and can be stored as a work of art even when the spray is over.

Why You Will You Love Nina Ricci L’eau du Temps:

• If you cannot afford a perfume, you can get the EdT for a lesser price and enjoy the pleasure of possessing a NR.
• The packaging is really stunning and exquisite.
• The Edt retains its smell for a long time. Of course, do not try comparing it to the retaining power of a EdP, but for a EdT it does an excellent job.
• A breathtaking fragrance that is citrusy, spicy and floral. You will love it.
• The smell like the bottle is fresh and refreshing. Wear it throughout the day or for the night, unless you want something very strong for the night.

Why You Might Think Before Buying Nina Ricci L’eau du Temps:

• The difference between the EdT and the EdP is around $20 or Rs.1000. So, many would prefer going for the perfume rather than the EdT.
• It contains alcohol. I don’t know if it is a bad quality, but many, especially in India might not want to wear it.
I just cannot find any other cons.

Will I Buy It Again? If I have a money crunch, I might buy this. Otherwise, I will want to try the perfume and if I have a lot of money, I will buy both 😛
