Nivea A Kiss of Milk and Honey Soothing Lip Care Review

Nivea A Kiss of Milk and Honey Soothing Lip Care

Hey gals..:)

How are you doing today? We are experiencing bright yet subtle sunny days while nights are still chilly, still a long way to go before we get rid of pull over and full sleeves! Humidifiers are life savior apart from high intensity water intake!

Our lips are worst affected in such weird climatic conditions hence, a lip balm is a must have in our daily skin care regimen. I always look out for lip care products as I finish them off quickly. So my today’s post is all about my next lip care product from nivea. Please read on further to know more about it.

My take on Nivea A Kiss of Honey and Milk Soothing Lip Care:

Well I believe my lips were never dry and chapped initially, I hardly used lip care products in India except during winters but after shifting here, I felt slight change in my skin texture and my normal lips drastically changed to dry and scaly. I always swear by Burt’s bee and Aveeno lip care stuffs and recently tried this Nivea lip care product which is more or less good but not great as compared to former lip care products!

This lip balm is infused with milk and honey, my favorite skin care stuff hence I was tempted to get it; it smells like honey which I love though it might be a turn off for honey intolerants. This yellow balm is neither sticky nor it does melt like few lip balms. It gives transparent sheen on lips which is good to go alone or layered with any matte, semi matte lip product. I need to re apply balm after 3-4 hours for continuous hydration. I feel it does not heal my chapped and scaly lip areas effectively unlike aveeno lip balm. It only imparts healthy sheen to my soft scrubbed lips and keeps them soft and hydrated for 3-4 hours.

I can only use it as lip base for matte lip colors as it cannot work on dry chapped lips alone unlike its claim of long hour moisturization. It works as an average lip balm which protects normal soft lips from dry weather around not to forget it lacks spf sun protection and does not heal dry, cracked lips. However, it works better than Maybelline Dr rescue lip balm and hence I would consider this balm after Aveeno and burt’s bee not in summers/winters though! I would recommend this balm to every gal who is blessed with naturally soft clean lips; this balm would help you in keeping your lips soft and hydrated however beauties like me who often suffer from cracked lips need something better.

Let’s sum up pros and cons:

Nivea A Kiss of Milk and Honey Soothing Lip Care

Pros of Nivea A Kiss of Milk and Honey Soothing Lip Care:

• A soothing lip balm infused with goodness of milk and honey
• It keeps lips soft and hydrated for good 3-4 hours
• It would work best on naturally soft and clean lips
• It does not melt in tube, does not feel sticky on lips as well
• It gives transparent glossy sheen hence good to wear alone or layered with lip color
• Travel friendly packaging at affordable price

Cons of Nivea A Kiss of Milk and Honey Soothing Lip Care:

• It does not heal or soothe cracked, scaly lips
• It lacks spf sun protection
• It’s long hours moisturization claims are false
• Honey flavored fragrance might be a big turn off for honey intolerants

Well I confess all cons are based on comparative observation between my former Aveeno lip balm and this Nivea lip balm.. 😛 I would only like to get it again if ever I fail to get Aveeno lip balm. Moreover, considering dry weather all year round here and my dry lips, I am not willing to get it again honestly! For me it is 3.5/5 rated product.
