My Take on Nivea Active Purifying Mask:

This face mask comes in a cute sachet packing, with 2 sachets joined together to form one packing and it is mainly for combination to oily skin types. Though I usually have dry skin, currently it is on the combination side, so I decided to give this one a try. I have been using the variant of this product – Nivea Indulging Honey Mask (reviewed earlier on IMBB), and that was for the dry skin type.

This mask is light blue in colour and has a thin cream-like consistency and texture. It has a very lovely refreshing fragrance too. I apply this to cleansed face and neck and rinse off according to the directions given. Unlike the honey mask, this dries a teeny bit, but it does not make your skin uncomfortable even though there is clay as an ingredient. When I first applied it on my face, it gave a light tingling sensation which was gone after a few minutes. The sachet had the correct amount of mask to be applied on both face and neck. After 15 minutes of application, I rinsed it off with lukewarm water, took a while to completely remove the mask due to its creamy nature. It cleansed my face thoroughly leaving behind soft and supple skin. It did not dry out my skin nor gave it a moisturized feel, to say exactly, I had a matte effect on my skin and I loved it. While on the other hand, the honey mask used to leave my skin with a nourished feel.

There was a refreshing glow on my face after I used this face mask, my pores were clean and clear and I felt an instant fairness on my face. The Magnolia extract in the mask helps in skin lightening and counteracting skin irritations. It is a great mask to be used during summers, especially for oily and combination skin types. Even normal skin can give it a try, but dry skin will need more moisturizing properties, that is lacking in this mask.

Nivea Active Purifying Mask

Pros of Nivea Active Purifying Mask:

  • The soft cream-like consistency makes it easy to apply and spread on your face.
  • The cream gives a light tingling sensation which gives an impression that it is working on the skin.
  • The amount of the cream in the sachet is ample to cover your face and neck area, thus no wastage or any need for storing remnants.
  • The mask does not fully dry on your face, hence no difficulty due to stretchy feeling.
  •  It deep cleanses your pores thoroughly removing all the impurities and gives an instant fair glow to your face.
  • After cleansing, it gives a matte effect on your face thus keeping the oil production in control.
  • They are quite easy to carry around in your vanity.

Cons of Nivea Active Purifying Mask:

  • Contains parabens (why do all these good products contain parabens?)

IMBB Rating:

4.5/5, I would recommend this for normal, oily and combination skin types.

Would I Repurchase Nivea Active Purifying Mask?

Yes, I will definitely repurchase it, especially during summers.
