With the onset of spring, most of the beauty and body care brands are launching new products for the season. One of the things I noticed was mousse products. Nivea has recently launched body mousse. I have used only shower mousses and I picked up the 2 variants that were available from this new range. So, this review is all about Nivea Nourishing Body Mousse.

My Experience with Nivea Nourishing Body Mousse:
The product comes in a dark blue pressurized metallic bottle. The look is the typical Nivea style. The cap is plastic and is also blue. The cap closes very well and there is no chance of accidental pressing. There is a seal between the cap and the body which breaks once opened. I am happy that they have a tamper seal. There is information on the back of the bottle.
The bottle looks like a body spray bottle and is sleek and is travel-friendly. Once you open the cap, the blue pump makes it easy to pump out the lotion. You need to shake the bottle well before use or else you will end up with a liquidy product, which is of no use.
Like the name suggests, the mousse is airy and foamy. You need at least 2-3 pumps for your complete body. The product is very similar to a shaving foam but is extremely creamy. The smell is the typical Nivea cream smell and I personally like the smell. Since the mousse is airy and very light, it instantly gets absorbed into your skin.
The application of the product is extremely easy; with just one sweep, it gets instantly absorbed. I find this is so much better than the traditional creamy lotions. It doesn’t leave any greasy residue behind. The product contains almond oil and provides you extra nourishment. The product immediately eliminates any dryness.
The product is made for very dry skin and it works perfectly. It doesn’t cause any irritation or redness, making itself suitable for sensitive skin too. The product hydrates the skin very well. It adds moisture to the skin and locks it in. I do not have to use the lotion immediately after the shower to seal the moisture. The product provides more than 8 hours of nourishment to the skin.
I usually apply an oil before sleeping as the winters make my skin very dry but for summers and spring, this one lotion mousse would be more than enough to treat the skin. I absolutely love this mousse and hope they come up with different variants soon. The product does contain sulfates and silicones but other than that I absolutely love the lotion mousse and this one is here to stay.
So, summing up:
