Nivea Care and Hold Styling Spray Review

It had been ages since I last purchased hair sprays. Off late, I have been letting my hair loose very often, and so there was no need of styling sprays. Recently, Nivea launched styling products in Netherlands and it came at the right time, as it was being very windy and I started tying my hair in a bun. I picked the Nivea Care and Hold Styling Spray and today’s review is on the same. Read on to know more.

My Experience with Nivea Care and Hold Styling Spray:

The Styling spray comes in a dark blue metallic bottle. The color is typical Nivea color and the cap comes in the same color too, which is made of plastic. The styling spray is available in 75ml and 250ml. Since 75ml is travel-friendly and also suitable for travel flights, I picked it up. The product does not come sealed. The cap closes fine and doesn’t open.

In this range of Nivea Care and Hold, there is a styling spray, styling gel and styling mousse. I am not a fan of gels and mousse and I picked up only the spray. The bottle is sleek and travel-friendly. The nozzle of the spray emits the liquid perfectly and with a good force. The spray doesn’t have a strong smell, but it smells a bit of alcohol. However, it doesn’t last more than a minute and I have no problem with it.

One of the reasons I picked it up was, because of the claim that it contains Eucerit. I loved Nivea Hair Milk and it nourished my hair and this particular ingredient was the reason behind it. The hair spray covers a large area when sprayed. The particles are so fine that you can hardly feel the liquid on your face. It feels like a mist. The product, when sprayed on the hair adds a residue, which can be clearly seen, but within a minute or two, this completely disappears and the hair feels very natural.

The hold power of the spray is 4, which makes it a good hold spray. The spray holds my hair perfectly and light wind does not cause any issues. The hold quality of the hair is amazing. If you style your hair and do not go out in harsh winds, the style will be retained the whole day without any issues. If you go out in the winds, the hair stays for around 5-6 hours. The product adds a light shine to the hair. The spray doesn’t dry out the hair nor makes it feel sticky. It is easy to brush out too. The product can be washed off with plain water. The product doesn’t create volume, but you can back comb and spray at the roots to create a lift for the volume effect. The spray can be used to hold buns, waves, messy braids or anything. The product also claims to protect against UV rays. Overall, it is a good styling spray which has nourishment properties and I like it.
