My Experience with Nivea Care Shower Fresh Pure Shower Gel:

The shower gel comes in a pretty blue transparent bottle with a white and navy flip open cap. It is made of a very sturdy plastic material. It has a small wave pattern on the bottom to depict the sea minerals. The packaging is minimalistic, which I like. There’s also information such as ingredients and product description on the bottle. I think that this bottle will not be easy to travel with.

The shower gel itself is pale blue, almost transparent in colour, although it is barely noticeable while showering. It has a thick but runny consistency, so it is quite easy to tilt the bottle and dispense the product immediately. The fragrance of this shower gel is citrusy – it smells like rain water mixed with lemonade. It has hints of aquatic notes as well. I like unique scents such as this and it’s the first thing that I am attracted to in a shower gel.

I bought a shower gel from Nivea because when in doubt, for body care products, I always trust this brand. It is a brand that I have grown up with and turn to it when in doubt.

Coming to the application of this product, I use it with a loofah or exfoliating gloves. It lathers really well with both and produces a silky foam, as the description aptly mentions. The scent of the gel intensifies as well and imparts a soothing fragrance to the whole bathroom. The scent on the body does not linger for long. As for the after effect, it does help in keeping dryness at bay and makes my skin plump and hydrated.

My skin feels thoroughly cleansed and fresh, but the feeling is short lived as a body lotion or moisturizer is definitely needed. This fact may be attributed to the product being in the form of a gel rather than a cream. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase as it does the job of cleaning and comes at an affordable price.
