Nivea Crème Care Shower Cream Review

Hiii IMBBians!!

How are you all?? I am busy with my exam preparations right now, which is starting from the 15th of this month.  Right now, all I do is study, eat, sleep, and IMBB, really. 😛 It’s fairly pleasant weather here in Lucknow, but it really is a preamble to the harsh winters which rock you to the bone, the chills. With such harsh winters, comes the age old problem of dry and flaky body skin. And to take care of it, our brands launch various winter care body creams, lotions and showers. Today, I am about to review one such new launch from Nivea – the Nivea Crème Care Shower Cream.  Do you remember the old Nivea tin cream? This is the exact shower version of it. The same old nostalgic smell, and same nivea care. Feeling nostalgic? Me too 😀

Nivea Crème Care Shower Cream

Nivea Crème Care Shower Cream comes at a price of Rs. 165/- for a quantity of 250 ml (that I have bought). It also comes in a 400 ml variant for Rs. 299. Very affordable, indeed.

Caring shower with moisturizer for soft skin.  This Nivea Crème shower cream will envelope your skin with its foam and the unique Nivea scent, leaving it feeling moisturized and smooth.  Ph skin-balanced – skin compatibility dermatologically approved.

It comes in a flip top container, which shuts tight. It is travel friendly, but, a friendly tip here. Always pack your body wash, if you must, in a separate packet and then keep it inside your bag. You can never be too careful.

My Experience with Nivea Crème Care Shower Cream:

I purchased this body wash with the newly-launched Nivea moisturizing soufflé, that has been reviewed by Monica, and I must say, I am in love with this combination. In just few days, my skin has turned softer and smooth to touch.

The first thing that you notice when you pop the flip open, is the smell. It is the same old Nivea tin cream smell, and trust me, you are going to love it, even the sensitive noses. It is not sickeningly overwhelming or strong. Instead, it is a mild and soft Nivea smell, which tingles your senses and your childhood Nivea memories. It is white in colour and has a lotion-like creamy consistency.

Nivea Crème Care Shower Cream

It lathers really well, just a small quantity poured out on your loofah, and it will really clean your whole body with creamy and rich lather that it creates. It leaves a soft and bit slippery “after-lather” feeling, which is a bit tough to wash off completely. That is the only problem that I have. But once you manage to wash it off completely, it leaves behind soft skin, and the faint smell of Nivea which lingers on and on. In fact, as far as I remember, I could sniff a bit even the next day, but just a faint whiff. That might be because of the fact that I used it in conjunction with Nivea soufflé, but honestly, even without it, the smell stays for quite a long time. The warm, Nivea and winters kind of smell, if you know what I am trying to tell you here. 😀

Nivea Crème Care Shower Cream

For people like me, who have normal body skin which turns dry in winters and the onset of winters, you can even skip body lotion sometimes, while using this. However for those, who have extremely dry skin, I would recommend using a body lotion or cream, as per their preferences and choice.

All in all, after my disastrous experience with my last body wash, Dove Supreme Luscious Velvet Beauty Bath, that I had reviewed for you all, I am really happy with this one. The combination of shower cream and soufflé is just too good a pampering for my skin.

Summing up:

Pros of Nivea Crème Care Shower Cream:

  • Easily available online and offline.
  • Very affordable.
  • Travel friendly, the flip top shuts tightly.
  • Small quantity lathers well.
  • Smells really good and a very faint whiff of Nivea stays throughout the day.
  • Leaves skin feeling soft and nourished.
  • Improves the feel of skin with continued usage.

Cons of Nivea Crème Care Shower Cream:

  • The slippery lather takes some time to wash completely off the skin.
  • Very dry and uncomfortably dry skinned beauties will need body lotion.

IMBB Rating and Recommendation:

I rate Nivea Crème Care Shower Cream 4.5/5.

Do I Recommend Nivea Crème Care Shower Cream?

Hell, yes!! In fact, I am going to order the larger variant soon!!! It is a must for winters. Even better, get it with the new launched soufflé. Your skin is going to love the combo.

Till the next time, Ciao beauties !! 😀 😀

  2. Looks like a good winter care product.. Am tempted to buy this..But I hate soapy, slippery shower creams which refuse to wash off easily. Is it very difficult to get this off your skin Kadambari? Lemme know..

    1. It’s not very tough to remove Nandini 🙂 It just takes a little bit of your more shower time..though I am a lazy lass..but in this case the after effects are so good that i do not mind spending an extra minute to wash it off properly 😀
