Nivea Creme Coconut Shower Cream

My Experience with Nivea Creme Coconut Shower Cream:

I had picked this one along with the Frangipani shower gel as I keep alternating them as per the mood and Nivea definitely makes some of the best shower creams and gels.  I got it mainly because of the coconut fragrance, I really like its fragrance in my body mists and shower gels especially with other combinations.

It comes in a medium-sized white plastic bottle with a blue flip cap, the packaging is decent. The bottle is very sturdy and dispenses the product well upon squeezing. The consistency is quite different than what I had expected and very unusual for a shower cream. It is a very runny pearly white liquid and not very creamy.

Nivea Creme Coconut Shower Cream

It has a nutty coconut fragrance which is mild and not too overpowering, but it is slightly on the artificial side and I am not too fond of it.  We tend to use different kind of shower products for unique fragrances and this one is pretty average in my opinion. It lathers very well with a little quantity to form up a rich lather. It effectively removes the dirt and grime from skin without leaving behind any slippery feel or residue and the fragrance lingers around for an half an hour as it is quite mild. It is not moisturizing which I had expected from the name, but does not make my skin dry at the same time. I do have to use a body lotion afterwards.

Nivea Creme Coconut Shower Cream

It claims to contain jojoba oil and also claims to leave the skin feeling smooth and nourished which is certainly not true. Dry skin people will particularly not like it as it does nothing to make skin smooth and soft unlike other shower creams and gels.  Overall, it is a pretty average shower cream for me during summers, but not at all suitable for winters.

Pros of Nivea Creme Coconut Shower Cream:

  • It has a mild coconut fragrance.
  • Lathers nicely.
  • Cleanses skin effectively.
  • Does not leave behind any residue.
  • Sturdy packaging.
  • Reasonably priced and easily available.

Cons of Nivea Creme Coconut Shower Cream:

  • The fragrance is not the most natural one.
  • Has a very runny consistency unlike how it is named.
  • If you do not like coconut fragrances, then this is not for you.
  • Does nothing to make skin smooth as claimed.

Do I Recommend Nivea Creme Coconut Shower Cream?

This particular shower cream from Nivea turned out to be a disappointment for me, and I do not recommend it to anyone unless you really are into coconut fragrances and want to give it a try once.
