This review is on Nivea Cream and Oil Pearls Shower Cream in the variant Lotus. As I have mentioned in my previous post, I love trying different products under the shower category, and now that summer is coming up, I wanted to try something floral and more fragrant. I was excited see the new shower products from Nivea with oil pearls in 3 different variants. I have already reviewed the Ylang-Ylang variant. Now, here’s the “Lotus” variant. Lotus being a sacred flower to us Indians, this makes it all the more special to me.
Nivea Cream Shower Oil Pearls Lotus is the perfect combination of rich care and pampering fragrance. The precious care oil pearls dissolve on the skin and thus ensure a special pampering moment. The velvety-soft foam, refined with argan oil, leaves a noticeably soft skin feeling even with dry skin. At the same time, pampering scents caress the senses. - Creamy formula with precious oil pearls - velvety-soft foam - Refined with argan oil - Pampering lotus fragrance.

My Experience with Nivea Creme and Oil Pearls Lotus Shower Cream:
The packaging looks just lovely. It comes in a big tube packaging with a flap lid. The whole packaging is very sturdy and travel safe. Since this shower cream come in a tube, which is not so common for shower gels, it looks kind of fancy. Also, the whole packaging is dark blue in color (the typical Nivea color) with a dreamy picture of Lotus. The packaging of this shower cream is really good and I have no complaints.
The shower gel is white in color with yellow oil pearls. The texture is creamy and comfortable to use. The oil pearls are very soft and not like the exfoliating beads. The oil pearls are very small (smaller than mustard) and melt off when used on skin. The pearls are extremely mild o the skin. The shower gel itself looks like shampoo and it is translucent. These pearls are supposed to contain argan oil, which as we all know, is very moisturizing on the skin.
The shower gel when used on wet skin turns very creamy and feels very rich and pampering to the skin. It does not produce a lot of foam but sufficient enough. The oil beads melt away as you work with it and release the oil it contains. This product is really nourishing and I enjoyed using it. Nivea has done a good job with this product.
I never felt lotus had a floral fancy fragrance but this shower cream smells very floral and pleasant. The fragrance is quite different and feels exotic. It’s not overwhelming and is quite pleasant. I feel it’s a kind of fragrance which many will like and prefer.
After shower, my skin feels very soft, smooth and nice. The fragrance of the shower gel lasts for a few hours not as a strong one but as a milder version.
The fragrance makes it perfect for summer and spring. You can even skin body lotion if you do not have dry skin. Overall, it’s a lovely body wash which I enjoyed using.
