Nivea Express Hydration Body Lotion

Nivea Express Hydration Body Lotion

Hey Everyone!

Hope you’re enjoying spring/summer.  I totally dislike this hot weather and even though I hate mushy roads, I really want it to rain! The past two nights, we have had good rain, but by morning, all the water just disappears, and it’s as hot as ever, if not hotter! Now that summers are already here, I wanted a body lotion that would leave my skin moisturized but not greasy and I have found a winner with this body lotion!

Nivea Express Hydration Body Lotion

The ultra light formula of the New Nivea Express Hydration Body Lotion with Sea Minerals works deep within the skin, repairing dryness layer by layer to make the skin immediately soft, supple and delicately enwrapped in a blue lotus scent, Nivea’s unique formula naturally promotes a continuous moisture supply from within for long-lasting soft skin. Skin compatibility dermatologically proven.  Hydra-IQ Non-stop 24 h + Technology:

Scent:

I don’t really know how lotus smells anyway, so I can’t tell whether this lotion actually smells of it or not. The way I would describe the fragrance of this lotion is that it has the typical “Nivea” smell, really pleasant, mild and not at all over the top.

Greasiness:

The product claims to be ultra light. It is definitely not greasy, and feels pretty nice on the skin. The lotion doesn’t leave behind any greasy film. A bonus in summers!

Absorption:

This is one of the best parts of this lotion. Used in proper quantities, it absorbs super fast and leaves no film behind. You don’t need to rub it in for ages before it sinks into your skin. Perfect for those hurried mornings!

Lasting Power:

In the summer, this will last all day for normal skin. The bottle does state that this lotion is especially formulated for normal skin. For moderately dry skin too, this will work if used regularly, but I’m not too sure about it being moisturizing enough in the winters.

Bottle:

The bottle is an ordinary flip cap bottle, nothing special about it.

Pros of Nivea Express Hydration Body Lotion:

  • Nice scent.
  • Decently moisturizing.
  • Small quantities suffice.
  • Absorbs into skin very quickly.
  • Not at all greasy.
  • Doesn’t leave behind a film on skin.
  • Lasts for a good time.
  • A great summer lotion.
  • Easily available.
  • Makes skin very soft.

Cons of Nivea Express Hydration Body Lotion:

  • Might leave you feeling slippery if you use excess quantities in the summer.
  • The fancy “Hydra-IQ Technology” is pretty silly, in my opinion!

I really like this lotion! This is the one I’m using now, along with the Dove Go Fresh Cucumber and Green Tea lotion, which is also fabulous for summer. It doesn’t leave me sticky or slippery, and I make sure to use very small quantities, which has actually made a difference! I like that it absorbs really quickly into my hands and feet, thus enabling me to slap it on and rush out of the house in the mornings.  If you’re looking for a body lotion for this summer, do try this one if you can find it, and make sure to use small quantities. I hope you’ll love it as much as I do! 🙂

I’m not too sure about the order of sunscreen and lotion. I normally mix both and apply (if I’m using sunscreen that day). Yes, I’m lazy. 😛
