Today I here with a new lip balm from Nivea, I am sure you all must have used many lip balms from them , they have a huge variety of balms my favorites are the fruity shines as they are available in many fruity flavors as well ,today I am going to share my experience on the watermelon one.
The innovative formula of Nivea Fruity Shine Watermelon with Hydra IQ gives long lasting moisturisation. The combination of watermelon flavor and chosen pigments provides an exciting fruity fragrance leaving a touch of delicate color on soft and smooth lips.

My experience with Nivea Fruity Shine Lip balm Watermelon:
The packaging is nice and colorful; it comes in a small twist tube, and a hot magenta pink cap which replicates the color of the shade itself. As soon as you open the cap there is a lovely watermelon fragrance, it is not the most natural fragrance but not very artificial as well and it is really mild so will not bother anyone and vanishes within five minutes of application.
The watermelon one looks like a nice and bright medium pink in the tube but is very lightly tinted, upon application it gives a very sheer wash of pink color nothing very noticeable. When swiped once there is hardly any tint, when swiped three to four times you get a slight tint. For those with pigmented lips it will hardly show up, so if you are looking for a nice tinted lip balm then it’s better to go for their other flavors like pomegranateor the cherry one.It looks like there are shimmers in the tube, but they do not transfer on to lips at all.
The claims of Nivea about the new and innovative formula are completely true, as this one is very different from the previous fruity shines I have tried. The texture is quite different as well it is much more hydrating and moisturizing. It has a nice glossy finish which makes my lips look plump and glossy without feeling heavy or waxy. It is not one of the most moisturizing lip balms to treat dry chapped lips for that Lotus and Burt bees ones work better. Also it lacks SPF, which is certainly not good. It keeps my lips soft and hydrated for 3 to 4 hours, and if I eat or drink anything it stays for little less. My lips feel soft even after it has rubbed off. It makes a great base for matte lipsticks but make sure to apply only a thin layer or else it can alter with the finish of lipsticks.
All in all it is a pretty decent nice and hydrating lip balm certainly better than the previous ones in terms of moisturisation.
Pros of Nivea Fruity Shine Lip balm Watermelon:
• Pretty packaging
• Feels very lightweight and comfortable on lips
• Decent staying power for a lip balm
• Has a very mild and natural watermelon fragrance
• More moisturizing and hydrating then the previous fruity shines
• Easily available and reasonably priced
Cons of Nivea Fruity Shine Lip balm Watermelon:
• No SPF
• The tint is barely noticeable
• Not the most moisturizing lip balm and will not heal dry or chapped lips.
Do I recommend Nivea Fruity Shine Lip balm Watermelon?
