My Experience with Nivea Hair Milk Shampoo:
I have heard and used cleansing milk but even in my wildest dreams had I thought that there would be a product called ‘Hair Milk’! I bought this product after it was advertised so many times in-between YouTube videos. Hair milk is a new concept and I bought both, the conditioner and the shampoo, from the range.
The Nivea hair milk comes in a blue bottle and the shape is common to all the shampoo ranges. It has a flip cap and the cap is really tight and shuts with a click, but it is hard to open in the shower when you are wet and I need to use my nails to open it, so it can cause peeling. I wish it was easier. The shampoo is creamy and white in color but is a bit runny and you can see that in the picture. The fragrance is pleasant and has the Nivea cream scent but is light and doesn’t stay for long. The product doesn’t contain silicones and thus is an advantage. The shampoo lathers well for it does contain SLS.
After application and wash, my hair feels incredibly smooth and soft to touch and I love the feeling. After two usages, my hair has bounced back to being healthy. I have really dry ends and this shampoo has helped to heal the ends. It has been 2 weeks and I have seen really good results. The shampoo provides intense nourishment to dry and damaged hair. It makes hair manageable and hydrated. The shampoo also adds a shine to the hair and, when paired with the conditioner, the shampoo does have a lot to rave about!
I assume that the shampoo was made for dry and dull hair. For someone like me with oily scalp and dry ends while it does treat my ends I feel that the shampoo really smoothens the hair on the top. This is good on the first day when I take a shower, but if I go without washing my hair the next day, my hair feels a little greasy. Since my hair is really smooth, it looks a little limp!
The shampoo also doesn’t clean the oil in one go. I had oiled my hair and I usually wash it only once and when I did with this shampoo I noticed that there was still oily residue on my head. So, you need to use it at least twice on the days you have oiled your hair. While I am really happy with the results for the dry ends, I wouldn’t recommend it for oily hair. Still, if you have really dry ends and need intense nourishment, look no further as this hair milk is made for you!
