Nivea is one brand that is always close to my heart as I have grown up seeing my mom use Nivea. Sadly there are not many variants of skin care products available in India by Nivea but I do not miss the chance to check out the display whenever I am travelling abroad. My Experience with Nivea Instant White Firming Body Serum:
Starting off with the packaging, Nivea has always been simple in their approach. Call me biased, but I like the simplicity of their products. This serum comes in a convenient tube packaging with flip-top cap. There is a lot of information about the product on the back of the tube. If you notice the opening you will see it is unlike the regular ones. It gives more control on the quantity of the product dispensed. It is an intelligent move considering the consistency of the product.
The texture of the serum is more on the runny side compared to regular body lotions. This is the reason why I really liked the small aperture on the cap. It spreads well on the body and hence the quantity required each time is pretty less. The addition of SPF comes as an added advantage as it can be used as a day time body care.
The fragrance is fresh and citrusy unlike the typical “Nivea fragrance”. That is again a welcome change especially for the summers. It gets absorbed on the skin in no time and gives a satin smooth feel to the body. Regarding the whitening claim I would say it does not whiten really but definitely brightens the overall look as it adds the boost of hydration to the body. The skin looks and feels healthy and moisturized which is what we expect of a body lotion. Considering the price, packaging and effectiveness I really cannot deduct any points from the rating. This is a clear winner in my opinion.
