Pros of Nivea Visage Refreshing Face Wash

• I picked this up along with few other stuff from nivea on a trip to this store which was loaded with nivea products.
• I have already reviewed the whitening under arm deodorant and now it’s time for this face wash.
• I love the smell. Very nivea like pleasant smell.
• I love the texture.gel face washes 😉
• Very mild. Would not even dry dry skin.
• Leaves the face squeaky clean.
• No irritation at all
• Very mild and soap free.
• Very gentle everyday face wash for sensitive skin.

Cons of Nivea Visage Refreshing Face

• Does not work on acne.
• Does not control oil.
• Does not lather much. I dislike.
• A little difficult to wash off.

As it dint do much for my oily skin apart from just leaving it squeaky clean I won’t by it again for this price and would not recommend. Maybe for sensitive skin.

        1. Lol raunak..maine uska review already kar diya hai… Do din pehle bheka hai.. Mail kiya imbb ko..saslic ds
Btw I agree on each point of this nivea facewash…good gently scrubbya nd leaves face very clean even tho it doesn’t lather.. I liked its pleasant classic nivea smell too hehe 🙂

  1. Ronki, just to add something-

Those with really oily skin or acne prone skin might find taurates (Sodium methyl cocoyl taurate here in the product) a little too moisturizing, which can lead to break outs. Otherwise it is meant for all skin types for their gentle cleansing and moisturizing.

  2. One more thing, although I think I am repeating myself here-

Soap-free cleansers are better than those containing soap (salts of fatty acids). Soap products normally have higher pH (8.5+) as opposed to normal skin pH (around 5) and they are drying.

    Soap-free cleansers normally use
    1. “sulfate” based surfactants like sodium laureth sulfate, sodium lauryl sulfate, ammoinium laureth sulfate, ammoinium lauryl sulfate.
    2. coconut derived sutfactants and betaines like Cocoyl Sarcosinamide DEA, Cocamidopropyl Betaine

Now coming to one of your con- it is good that it does not lather much. It means that the product is using Sodium Laureth Sulfate in place of Sodium Laurel Sulfate. The latter is used for more lather and is harsher on skin.

    1. I thought Sodium Laureth Sulfate and Sodium Laurel Sulfate are same… :quiet: :quiet: .. just a spelling mistake 😮 😮 …
Thank u sanjeev for the useful information.. :thanks:

    1. ji jomol bilkul sahe kaha.meinhar aneh manungi na books se na face washes se…huh huh! :phoolan: :phoolan: :phoolan: :phoolan:

  3. Normally i find a lot of face washes fail in decreasing acne.. The two face washes worked for me were garnier and himalaya neem face wash… 😉 😉

      1. my 2 cents bit – the lacto calamine normal to oily is pretty good..very light, not very creamy. i also use a separate eye/lip cleanser from Revlon.

          1. Thanks all for the suggestion :)) i do exercise, sleep and drink lots of water still ye stubborn acne nahi jate 😥 :scream: :nonono: but ya i do have this bad habit of picking pimples which does lead to its rupture and eventually i end up having 2 more instead of 1 :stars: buri aadat….huh :smug:

      1. btw is there any cure for dark circles besides the eye creams, no stress, lots of water thing? I dont mind going to a VLCC, Kaya type place if they have solutions..will chemical peels etc work?

  4. thnx for the review :waytogo: :waytogo: .. the packaging had tempted me long… ws planning to get it after finishing my himalaya wala  ….. but, now :waiting: :waiting: i think its better to give it a skip :smug:

  5. hey just wanted to comment here again cos I bought the Neutrogena normal to oily cleanser yday and i read it had Sodium Laureth Sulphate..so i actually did a search on IMBB for this as i remembered Sanjeev mentioning abt this. it got me to this post..:)

So basically – Thanks sanjeev for the details. really helps..this particular cleanser dosent foam much either and i am happy abt that..
