My Experience with Nivea Ruby Red Care and Colour Lip Balm:

Packaging:
Nivea Ruby Red Care and Colour Lip Balm comes in a nice blue coloured cardboard paper packaging with all the details. The actual lip balm comes in a pretty, white small tube that is easy to carry around. The packaging is very simple yet nice.

Shade:
This shade is called Ruby Red, and it’s a very pretty red shade, as the name suggests. This is the kind of shade that’d suit all skin tones. It is a bright shade of red that looks very beautiful on the lips. I love such shades! This shade is well pigmented for a lip balm but needs a few swipes for nice colour pay off. It can hide pigmented lips nicely.

Texture and Quality:
I love Nivea lip balms because they are very smooth and soft. Just like all of their other lip balms, this one too is very smooth. Hence, it glides easily on the lips. But the new thing is that it has a white creamy core which provides more smoothness. It gives a nice tint to my lips. If I layer it up, my lips look glossier and shinier. The tint looks cute and gives a healthy glow to my lips. This lip balm has a mild scent; I think it smells like Nivea cream.

The formula is very light and smooth. It doesn’t feel sticky. It instantly provides soft, smooth hydrated lips. It heals my dry lips and makes them soft and healthy. It heals chapped lips too and provides a great relief to them. This lip balm performs well during the winter season. Also, the color doesn’t settle into the fine lines or crease of the lips at all. Since it is a lip balm it does transfer, still it does not completely fade away from the lips.

Staying Power:
This lip balm stays on for long on the lips, i.e. around 5-6 hours and it keeps my lips soft even after the tint fades away. Also, the color stays on my lips nicely. It can’t survive a mean properly, still it can nicely survive some snacks. The only issue is that it doesn’t have an SPF.

Overall:
It looks so pretty and it works perfectly on my dry lips as a good hydrating lip balm. It also keeps my lips soft for long. I love this red shade also. This formula is quite similar to their old lip balms, but has a better staying power.
