Today I’ll be reviewing one of the lip balms that I recently got from Nivea. We all are familiar with Nivea lip balms and they are loved by all. Let’s see how this one fared.

My Experience with Nivea Shea Butter Essential Lip Care:

Packaging: this lip balm comes in a regular cardboard box that has all the details printed at the back. The lip balm is a blue tube, typical Nivea packaging. The slanted tip makes way for smooth application of the balm on the lips. Overall, very handy and convenient packaging. Also, it is very travel friendly.
Colour: This lip balm is clear and imparts no colour to the lips. It gives the lips a nice muted shine if you apply little and a nice juicy shine when applied quite a bit. It won’t cover up dark, pigmented lips.

Texture: The lip balm has a very smooth consistency and feels very smooth and silky on the lips. It tingles my lips and feels cool and soothing. I really love the cool tingling sensation. It lasts for about 5 minutes and then it fades away. The lip balm is very moisturising and hydrating too. My lips feel very smooth and soft after using this. I really like this one! It makes application of lipsticks and liquid lipsticks very easy after I use this as it provides ample moisture to my lips. I just apply this one for 15-20 minutes and then dab of the excess and you have well moisturised lips! It also is very light and doesn’t feel like you are wearing a lip balm.

Staying power: It doesn’t have a very good staying power as it fades away with meals. It lasts for 3 hours without meals and talking. You do have to reapply every 2 hours. But since it provides good amount of moisture, you don’t really need touch ups for at least 5 hours. I don’t have very dry lips, so I’m good for 5 hours. But if you have extremely dry lips, you might need to reapply after every 3 hours or so.

Smell: This has a very light fragrance that I cannot pinpoint what exactly it smells like. But it isn’t bothersome or strong. It goes away in a jiffy. Summing up the pros and cons,
