My Experience with Nivea Silky Body Milk for Dry Skin:
Winters are getting harsh here in Netherlands and after we moved to a new house I was using coconut oil for my skin. But, I really needed a thick and creamy lotion to combat the dryness. Thus, while I was looking for rich lotions, I came across these products from Nivea. I purchased both, the lotion and the oil, from the Shea butter range. This particular lotion comes in a plastic blue bottle with a navy blue flip cap and the packaging is similar to other lotions from Nivea. The cap is very sturdy and sits on the top of the bottle. The cap is very tight and shuts with a click and thus it is travel-friendly.
The lotion is white and creamy and the texture is smooth and soft. The texture is mentioned on the back of the bottle. The lotion is creamy but has a semi-solid texture and thus it can run a bit. The smell is beautiful and pleasant and has a kind of a Nivea smell. The lotion spreads easily and takes a little time to get absorbed, but that’s just a few seconds and then it gets absorbed very nicely. The lotion doesn’t leave any greasy residue after getting absorbed. The lotion has a very smooth texture and I love the way it spreads.
The lotion makes the skin moisturized effectively. The lotion hydrates and moisturizes the dry flakes too. The lotion makes the skin really smooth and soft and heals the dry skin for a long time and the skin is moisturized for more than 6-7 hours. Hence, the claim of 24 hour doesn’t hold true. The skin looks very healthy and nourished, hence this is a perfect option for dry winters.
The lotion contains glycerine and thus makes the skin soft and this result stays on for long. I love that the results are not temporary. Even though it requires a reapplication in the evening/night, the product is a beautiful one and can be used for winters as it provides intense moisturization. And for the summer, it is not heavy and is very light.
So, summing up:
