I have written quite a few posts on IMBB have not introduced myself yet. I am a second-year engineering student from Ahmedabad. I have a passion for makeup and beauty and my family and friends sometimes wonder what I am doing in an engineering college. I am very lucky to be a part of this blog and meet lovely people like you.
Coming on to the review, lip balms are something I cannot live without. I am always on a lookout for new lip balms because of the extremely dry and chapped lips I have. Nivea Soft Rose lip balm was launched sometime during April and I got it few weeks back from a nearby store.
What the company claims:
Treat yourself to a velvety soft lip feeling with a subtle rose sheen & scent, so you can express life moments any day & any time in every kind of way.
• Contains nourishing Jojoba Oil for long-lasting moisturisation
• The subtle rose sheen underlines the natural rosiness of the lips
• Gives a velvety soft lip feeling.
• SPF 10.
Rs.129 for 4.8g
My take on the Nivea Soft Rose Lip Balm :
The lip balm comes in a sealed plastic blister like packing to ensure that it has not been used. It has a white lipstick style packing with a light pink pull up lid. The top of the lid is little curvy which looks cute as well as feminine. Although the name suggests it doesn’t smell of roses. The fragrance is too mild and sweet and sensitive noses will not have any problem.
The lip balm glides on smoothly and is moisturizing enough. It gives a light pink sheen but won’t be of any use to pigmented lips. The lip balm doesn’t feel waxy or thick. It stays on for good 3-4 hours after which there is a need of reapplication.
Pros of Nivea Soft Rose Lip Balm :
• Has a nice fragrance
• Sturdy and cute packing
• Imparts a nice sheen to lips
• Works for dry, chapped lips
• Easily available
• Added benefit of SPF 10
Cons of Nivea Soft Rose Lip Balm :
• Won’t work for pigmented lips.
• It may not be a con for many but while closing the lip balm some product gets stuck on to the lid.
Would I recommend Nivea Soft Rose Lip Balm ?
If you are a fan of Nivea lip balm you should definitely try this otherwise there are many lip balms better than this available in the market.
