Nivea Visage Sparkling Glow Fairness Toner Review

Hello IMBB!!

Nivea Visage Sparkling Glow Fairness Toner Review

I think the most troubled people on this planet earth are the ones who have oily-combination skin like me. If you wash your face even with the mildest of foaming cleansers, 4-5 times a day to get rid of the oiliness and shine, you tend to have dry patches on your skin after some time. If you do not wash your face, then you have a shiny/oily face which makes you feel uncomfortable in your own skin. I always look out for things which make me feel fresh for a long time so that I do not have to look into the mirror every now and then to check if everything is okay or not. I am into a habit of following CTM routine twice daily, once in the morning and once before hitting the bed. I had been using Biotique Cucumber Water for a long time, but recently, it started irritating my eyes even if a bit went into the eyes. This was the reason I had to ditch my HG toner and I started looking for something which makes me comfortable without any tingling and irritation to skin and eyes.

I have had some good experiences with Nivea products in the past and heard a lot of people with oily skin raving about Nivea toners and face washes, so I bought a few goodies from Nivea. Here I am reviewing “Nivea Visage Sparkling Glow Fairness Toner” which has become my new favorite now.

Product Description:

Nivea Visage Sparkling Glow Fairness Toner Lightens and Clarifies for a radiant fair skin. It thoroughly clarifies the skin while making it fairer, without drying it out.

Price:

169 INR for 125 ml.

Shelf Life:

30 months.

Packaging:

This toner comes in a cute slim bottle which is made up of shimmery white plastic. It is actually very cute to look at. The bottle comes with a flip cap which is easy to handle, neither too tight nor to loose, just perfect. You can look through the bottle and it is easy to see how much product is left inside.

My Experience with Nivea Visage Sparkling Glow Fairness Toner:

I have been using this toner for almost 15 days now and I am kind of okay with it. Not perfectly satisfied, but yes, in some aspects, it has just been up to the mark. It controls the shine for a long time once applied in the morning using a cotton pad after cleansing the face thoroughly. After this, I apply my normal sunscreen. I feel that the moment I apply this toner, my skin becomes soft, supple and refreshed.

Nivea Visage Sparkling Glow Fairness Toner Review

I do not feel any drying effect and can manage even without applying anything after that. It necessarily does not live up to the claim of making skin fairer, but yes, it does impart some radiance to the skin. To be very frank, I did not use it for fairness factor. I have not experienced any rashes or skin eruptions after using this. Though it contains alcohol, yet it does not irritate my skin and it does not sting at all. The toner has the trademark faint Nivea smell which I love by heart. Overall, I am happy with the results it is giving me.

Pros of Nivea Visage Sparkling Glow Fairness Toner:

  • Refreshing smell.
  • Instantly makes the skin feel light and fresh.
  • Removes the last trace of impurity from the face.
  • Does not sting.
  • One bottle will easily last for 2 months even if used twice-thrice daily.
  • Cute packaging.
  • Economical.

Cons of Nivea Visage Sparkling Glow Fairness Toner:

  • Contains alcohol and parabens, but I am okay with that as far as they keep the oil at bay.

Finally, I would like to say that please do not expect miracles to happen with this toner, but yes, this is worth trying and it will live up to the promises which it claims. Would surely help dry skin people also as it is non-drying.

  1. Nice review. I am using ayur now and i dint like it much. Will give this a try. Ayur is like spirit after application. How is this??

  2. i have nivea visage scrub, that is also pretty good.. i will try this once i finish my current toner..
Even i have the same skin type as yours.. i agree with you completely..

  3. hey nice review!!!! i love toners but besides the TBS seaweed none has suited me so let me try this once again (tried once before but had not made a major difference)..

‘I think the most troubled people on this planet earth are the ones who have oily-combination skin like me. “..———– there never was a more truer statement than this one. oily-combi skin are the most troubling without doubt..

  4. Oily-combination skin? You haven’t met people like me who have dry skin but oily chins in summer and who get acne on chalk dry skin too. At least the oily skinned beauties are assured that they won’t like wizened old crones before their time. People like me don’t even have that consolation. We are bound to get all spotty and wrinkled sooner than we expect. 😛 😛

Thanks for the review. Ever since I got bored of my regular FabIndia rose water, I’ve been in search of a good toner. Will give this one a try. 😀

  5. not for me… as I am not oily skinned… but i have always experienced stinging apart from the dryness when used alcohol based toners… I am loving my current fabindia rose water toner and aromamagic toner
    Nice review Pallavi.

  6. hey pallavi nice review! the toner seems worth trying.. ayur astringent stings on me like hell.. i am currently using fabindia tea tree toner. i might give this a try once i finish with that.
