My Experience with Nivea Volume Care Styling Mousse:

The product comes in a metallic blueish silver can. The colors are similar to all the hair styling products from Nivea. The product comes unsealed and you can find a lot of information on the back of the bottle. It comes with a plastic dispenser and a transparent cap. The cap closes well and there is no chance of any leakage. The design of the bottle too is pretty good. The product is travel-friendly and is suitable for carrying on trips.

The mousse is very fluffy and foamy when dispensed. It is white in color and smells very fresh. I absolutely love using this on my hair and it stays a while before it fades away. The fragrance is short-lived and compared to other products, I wish it lasted longer. As soon as you dispense the mousse, it expands a little and you can rub it between your palms and distribute all over your towel dried hair and then comb out or use tools to bring out the volume. There is also shampoo, conditioner and styling spray available in the range. You can get the maximum benefits when you use all the products in accordance.

The mousse spreads very well on the hair and doesn’t leave any residue. It doesn’t cause any stickiness which is a plus. The hold strength of this mousse is 4. I usually spread the mousse on damp hair, comb it out with a wide tooth comb and then continue using my blow dryer or airstyler for volume and curls. Once the hair is dry, it feels very fluffy and free. You hardly notice that there is a product on your hair and since the product comes with heat activated care, it protects your hair against the heat from the blow dryer or a curler.

If you want to do any style, then you need to wait for the hair to dry and then continue with style. If you have used a curler, the product holds the volume but not the curls, so you need to use another spray to make sure that the curls stay in place. I also noticed it for creating a pouf, you need to use a styling spray at the bottom to get that lift. However, you can see difference in volume from the first use. I do not recommend to use this product on dry hair as it makes it look very greasy and also the hair kind of sticks on. You can opt for this look when you need that wet look. The product contains macadamia oil and this nourishes the hair without damaging it. It also makes the hair very soft and smooth. Overall, it is a good product if used correctly and I like it.
