No. 4711 Eau De Cologne Review

WHAT IS COLOGNE? ? 🙂

Eau de Cologne or simply Cologne (German: Kölnisch Wasser, “Water of Cologne”) is a toiletry, a perfume in a style that originated from Cologne, Germany. It is nowadays a generic term for scented formulations in typical concentration of 2-5% essential oils. However as of today cologne is a blend of extracts, alcohol, and water. (For further detail on distinctions, see Perfumes) Colognes may be used by men or women but are generally marketed to men as an alternative to perfume.

HISTORY OF NO.4711:
The history behind this cologne is very vast. You can read it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4711_(brand)

FIRST LOOK: :specs:
This cologne comes in a very attractive turquoise & gold cardboard box. The logo is written entirely in gold. This is classic cologne No. 4711 from Cologne, Germany that is made in Germany by Muelhens. The cologne bottle looks like a miniature version of a liquor bottle. It’s actually quite cute, a transparent bottle with gold cap & the brand poster in turquoise & gold. Wow! sounds interesting. Here’s the pic :

PRICE FACTOR:
This cologne comes very cheap. I bought this one for around 1800 bucks…but that was almost 2 years back. I don’t know the current price.

ABOUT THE FRAGRANCE:
NO.4711 Original Eau de Cologne by Muelhens is a Citrus Aromatic fragrance for women and men. 4711 Original Eau de Cologne was launched in 1792. The nose behind this fragrance is Wilhelm Muelhens. Top notes are orange oil, peach, basil, bergamot and lemon; middle notes are cyclamen, lily, melon, jasmine and bulgarian rose; base notes are patchouli, tahitian vetiver, musk, sandalwood, oakmoss and cedar.

MY EXPERIENCE:

This indeed is a citrus fragrance, but not the typical citrus one. I find this fragrance very mood lifting kinds – not too strong, not very mild. Just perfect. I use this for my bath even. I won’t say this is the best that I have come across but it is one of the best classic fragrances that I have come across. I sometimes use this even when I have a headache, it instantly peps me up. This fragrance is great for day wear for someone who doesn’t like strong perfume smell. This will be just perfect.

MY RATING: :teddy:
4.5/5 (There is no reason to give minus point 5; but this one is not as good as DIOR PURE PASSION )

WILL I BUY THIS AGAIN??? :nono:
No.I am going to buy the perfume from  the same brand so that it lasts longer because I really liked the fragrance. 😀 😀 😀
