My Experience with Note Cosmetics Mattemoist Lipgloss 403 Sugar Kiss Review:
Packaging: The lipgloss comes in a square transparent plastic packaging with a black twist-around cap. This further is enclosed in a gorgeous black sleek cardboard rectangular box with the product details in white. You have the name of the brand written on the bottle. The name of the colour is applied as a sticker at the bottom of the bottle. Since the bottle is transparent, the shade is visible and it is easy to identify. It has a slim, long and a unique doe-foot applicator for easy application which embraces every curve of the lips. It’s sleek packaging makes it travel-friendly.
Colour: The colour is a beautiful pinkish nude. A perfect shade which would suit fair to medium skin tones. It may wash out deeper skin tones, but if you mix up a slightly darker shade it may do the trick. The colour swatches beautifully on the hand, but goes bland on the lips.
Pigmentation: The product is highly pigmented for a lipgloss and hence, watch out on the amount you take for application. A little will go a long long way and will prevent bleeding. A single application gives a super rich and beautiful colour.
Longevity: The lip gloss lasts a few hours without eating or drinking. It does fade away with eating and drinking and reapplication is required.
Texture: The texture of the product is very creamy and hence, it can bleed. One must be careful in choosing the amount of product one must apply. The product does not settle on the lip lines or emphasis the cracked lips. The texture is soothing and comfortable, and delivers a beautiful matte payoff without the drying powdery feel. Hydrating oils and vitamins guarantees that the formula keeps a moisture-rich feel on the lips. I have tried many matte lipsticks, but the formulation of this one is just so perfect. The formula is very nice, comfortable and soft on the lips.
It’s creamy and it has a strong vanilla fragrance so, if you are the ones who don’t like strong smells, you may not like it. It takes a minute to dry, so you can very well lighten or make changes to your shade as required. Once it is dry, it feels very comfortable on the lips. So, I can rightly say that it “dries soft and not hard”. Most of the other lipsticks give a parched lip when dried, but this one is a winner in all aspects. And, just like other matte lipsticks, don’t forget to exfoliate and prep your lips before application. Use a good makeup remover or oil for removing this perfectly, because it doesn’t come out easily.
I am so in love with this lip product! It contains Macadamia Oil and Vitamin E to moisturize your lips all day long. The colour is somehow tricky, since they look different on hand and lips. Another tricky thing is that even though it doesn’t leave a stain on your lips, it does leave a stain on the glass. The best part is that it is affordable and gives you the texture and moisture that any high-end brand would give.
