After the shade 05 Navy, I am back with the review of the shade 04 Marine from the Note Cosmetics Ultra Rich Color Eye Pencil range. Let’s see how this one fared for me.

My Experience With Note Cosmetics Ultra Rich Color Eye Pencil 04 Marine:
There are about ten different colors in this range and only a few shades are available in India. I’ve purchased two shades of blue from this range. I liked how 05 Navy looked after application. It looked gorgeous as it had a very rich color pay off, just like it claimed. However, I wasn’t very happy with its staying power.
Before placing the order for these pencils I checked its official website and got to know about the different shades from this range. Among the ten shades there are three beautiful shades of blue. I liked the shade 04 Marine the most in the blue color range. I also liked 05 Navy, but if I had an option to choose any one, I would definitely go for 04 Marine. That’s because it has a pretty sheen to it whereas 05 Navy is more of a matte shade.
The packaging of the product is good and decent. You can easily pick up the shade of your choice by looking at the bottom of the pencil. Also, the shade number and name have been mentioned on the pencil. So, there won’t be any confusion in picking up the right pencil from your stash. And, what’s strange about its packaging is that unlike the previous shade 05 Navy, the ingredient list hasn’t been mentioned on this pencil.
That doesn’t bother me much as I know this product is paraben free and cruelty-free but I wish they followed the same pattern for all the pencils. Also, this doesn’t come with a sharpener, so you have to sharpen it separately. While sharpening, a lot of product gets transferred to the blade of the sharpener and the tip often becomes blunt easily. You have to keep sharpening it after a couple of uses.
In terms of performance, this too glides easily and the texture is smooth too. It looks vibrant on the waterline and on the eyelids both. The color looks intense and beautiful after application. You can try creating a cat eye look, add a hint of color to your double winged eyeliner or simply run it on the waterline to match your blue outfit.
Unlike the previous shade, this doesn’t need multiple swipes in order for the color to be visible. You would just have to swipe it twice or give a little touch up to your eye makeup and your job will be done. Sadly, this too isn’t waterproof and comes off easily when it comes in contact with water. The staying power is poor and it does not last more than three hours. It stays on for a couple of hours and then fades away completely.

• Not waterproof.
• Poor staying power.
• Fades easily within a couple of hours.
• Not a travel-friendly product as it doesn’t have a sharpener.
• A lot of product gets transferred to the sharpener.
• The tip gets blunt easily.

Would I Recommend Note Cosmetics Ultra Rich Color Eye Pencil 04 Marine?
No. I would still recommend you to try eye pencils that last longer and don’t fade easily. But if you are okay with its staying power and still like the color you can give it a go as it is pretty affordable.
