My Experience With Note Cosmetics Ultra Rich Color Eye Pencil 05 Navy:
My first impression about this brand was good as my very first product Note automatic intense eye pencil fared well on me. I’ve purchased a couple of other eye pencils from this brand and decided to add color eye pencils to my makeup stash. I picked up the shade “04 marine” and “05 Navy” from this range of eye pencils. When I checked its official website, there were about ten different shades from this range, out of which a few are available in India. These color pencils claim to provide an ultra rich color and I went to add these pencils to my online shopping cart thinking the color pay off would be good.
The packaging of the product is good and decent. You can easily pick up the shade of your choice by looking at the shade at the bottom of the pencil. Also, the shade number and name has been mentioned on the pencil. So, there won’t be any confusion in picking up the right pencil from your stash.
You can also check for ingredients on the pencil. It doesn’t come with a sharpener so, you would have to sharpen it separately. While sharpening, a lot of product gets transferred to the blade of the sharpener. And, it often becomes blunt easily. You will have to keep sharpening it after a couple of uses.
When I first tried the pencil, it glided with ease without any tugging or pulling. On trying a swatch on my hand, I could notice the texture was creamy and it did provide an ultra rich color like it claimed. It is a pretty shade of navy blue and the color looked pretty intense and vibrant when I applied it on my waterline. When I tried to use this on my eyelids as eyeliner, it didn’t look as vibrant as it looked on my waterline. However, this color is buildable and keeps getting more intense with multiple swipes. If you want this shade to look more prominent, you would have to swipe it multiple times as this doesn’t gave me the desired result in just one swipe. I had to swipe the pencil a couple of times to make it more prominent. But, it looks gorgeous after application as the color is nice and rich. It doesn’t smudge either.
This isn’t a waterproof pencil as it comes off easily when in contact with water. Almost a 70 percent of the makeup applied fades easily with a splash of water. Also, I am a little disappointed with its staying power as it stayed for only three hours after application and faded completely. I wish this had stayed at least five hours, which is a decent staying power.
If you still wish to purchase this for its intense rich color pay off, then you would have to keep applying it often to extend the longevity of eye makeup. This definitely can’t be worn for a longer period of time or events that take time.
Overall, I like the color pencil for how pretty, intense and vibrant the color looks after application, but disappointed a lot with its staying power.

- Need multiple swipes for the color to look more prominent.
- Fades easily with in a couple of hours.
- Not a travel-friendly product as it doesn’t have a sharpener.
- A lot of product gets transferred to sharpener while sharpening.
- Gets blunt easily within a couple of uses.

Do I Recommend Note Cosmetics Ultra Rich Color Eye Pencil 05 Navy?
No! I would rather suggest you to go for eye pencils that lasts long and doesn’t fade easily.
