I realized that I had forgotten my lip balm when I was traveling recently and I headed to a duty-free store to pick one and came across lip balms from Nuxe and I picked it up. It was later that I realized that it was not yet reviewed! And, my whole trip was spent testing the lip balm. 😛 Today’s review is all about Nuxe Lip Moisturizing Stick Reve de Miel. My Experience with Nuxe Lip Moisturizing Stick Reve de Miel:
The lip balm comes in a sealed package. There were no testers and it was a need it-blind buy. The lip balm comes in a twist up package with a cream-colored long cap which closes with a click. The package is pretty simple and basic. It is not uber-fancy for the price. Since it is a twist up package, the product is hygienic and is mess-free. The size and shape are similar to the traditional lip balms and I can easily carry it around in my purse/bag.
The lip balm is like a lip stick bullet and is white/transparent in color. It smells mild to no fragrance and I like this over the artificial smelly ones! The color, when applied on lips, is transparent and is like Vaseline. So, it makes it a good color for nude lipsticks. The lipstick shaped bullet makes it easier to glide the balm on the lips. The balm glides very smoothly and moisturizes the lips. It leaves a shiny layer which is not felt on the lips and is not greasy. The product eliminates the dryness on the lips and prevents any dry flakes on them.
I had dry, flaky lips when I applied the lip balm and within 10-15 minutes, I noticed that the dry flakes had completely softened and it was very easy to scrub them away without any pain. The product is claimed to contain 90% natural ingredients and if yes, I am really happy about it. The product doesn’t contain paraben, which is a plus. The lip balm intensively nourishes the lips and hydrates them but it doesn’t survive meals or drinks and a reapplication is needed often. The moisturization factor is also short and it fades away after 2-3 hours and a reapplication is needed to keep the lips soft. However, when applied, the lip balm makes the lips super soft and luscious and I love the feeling. The lip balm is pretty expensive and it doesn’t even contain SPF! So, summing up:
Pros of Nuxe Lip Moisturizing Stick Reve de Miel:
• Glides easily and eases application
• Sealed and hygienic
• Made from 90% natural ingredients
• Eliminates the dryness within 10-15 minutes
• No greasy feeling
• Makes lips soft and luscious
• Heals dry and cracked lips
• No paraben
Cons of Nuxe Lip Moisturizing Stick Reve de Miel:
• Doesn’t survive meals and drinks; thus, frequent reapplication is needed
• Moisturization factor is short
• No SPF
Would I Recommend/Repurchase Nuxe Lip Moisturizing Stick Reve de Miel?
Not a mandatory buy, but it is a decent lip balm. I would probably not repurchase it due to the short moisturization factor.
