I bought a few lip colors from the City Proof Matte Long Lasting Blur range launched by NYC. The colors were pretty appealing and I ended up buying six of them! Today’s review is all about NYC City Proof Matte Long Lasting Blur Lip Color in the shade 203 Rose Island. Read on to know more.

How to Apply:
First apply to the center of the lips and follow the contours of the mouth.
Then, to get the perfect blurred effect, use the smudge cushion to gently blur the color out towards the edges of the lip.

My Experience with NYC #203 Rose Island City Proof Matte Long Lasting Blur Lip Color:
NYC City Proof Matte Long Lasting Blur Lip Color comes in a twistable plastic case. The product is sealed, which is good. Most of the information is present on the plastic seal, and once opened, you might have no clue about it!
There are two ends to this lip color: one side houses the lip color and the other side has a sponge like smudger. The lip color has a screw cap which is pretty tight and makes the product travel-friendly. The smudger has a transparent cap, which closes with a click. But, it is a little flimsy.
The main purpose of the sponge applicator is to blur the lip color. I like the color as it is and do not blur the lip color but I like the idea of having a sponge applicator. For now, I have been using this to correct the lines on my lips!
The lip color has a lip liner like package and is twistable. The lip color is a little thicker than the lip liner but the quantity for the price is very less. I picked this shade without swatching. There were no testers available and the name “Rose Island” made me pick this product and I am happy that I did.
The shade is a beautiful rose shade and a perfect choice for offices and daily wear. The shade looks very natural on the lips. The lip color is creamy and glides very easily. As it is thinner than most conventional lipsticks, you can use it to clearly line the lips for an even coverage.
The color is pigmented and masks my pigmented lips effectively. The product can be buildable but I feel that it tends to get drier. The finish is matte and the lip color provides a little moisturization. Nevertheless, it is always wiser to exfoliate the lips before application. The product stays for a good 5 hours on my lips with minimal transfer.
There is no bleeding, which is another plus point. The only downside of the range is the quantity. Also, I’ve to be a little bit conscious during application as the product, due to the creamy texture, is very soft and the bullet melts faster than any lipstick I know!
