How to Apply:

My Experience with NYC #300 Red High Line City Proof Matte Long Lasting Blur Lip Color:

NYC City Proof Matte Long Lasting Blur Lip Color comes in a sealed, twistable plastic case. The details are present on the plastic seal, and the shade name is mentioned on both – the seal and the transparent cap. The lip colour comes with a sponge-like smudger which can be used to blur the shade for creating an ombre look or lighten the shade.

I feel that the smudger works well with this color and I have been able to lighten the red shade to a cooler tone for daily wear. I am yet to experiment with ombre looks, though. There are several alternative ways to use this smudger; you can also use it to erase the product from a certain part on your lips or can be used to precise the lip line.

The sleek packaging of the lip color makes it easy to carry around. The lip color has a screw cap and I am guilty of pulling it up most of the times. The quantity of the lip color is a big bummer. It looks like a wider lip pencil, but when you twist up till the end, the length is pretty small. I feel for the price, you expect more from the product.

It has a fruity smell. Red High line is a beautiful shade from this range. The color is a transition from pink to red, and thus has a beautiful shade with a hint of magenta in it. The name can be misleading, though. The product is not red, and when built up, can create a pinkish hint of red.

I absolutely love the shade. The shade can be blurred to create a subtle look for everyday office wear. The product does transfer a bit and you can see lip marks on your cup. Due to the precise application, the product doesn’t bleed, but does get smudged.

The lip color is creamy and can easily be applied. And considering the pigment, it easily masks pigmented lips. The color settles between the dryness of the lips and thus moisturization and exfoliation are must. When compared to others variants, I have noticed that the red shades lack moisturization a bit. This one also feels dry on my lips post application.

The product can be built up to create a bold color. I have also been using this as blusher because I have a deep love with this color. The finish is matte and the shade stays for around 4-5 hours and doesn’t leave any pigmentation behind. It is a beautiful, must-have shade from NYC.
