My Experience with NYC City Proof Matte Long Lasting Blur Lip Color – #202 Brooklyn Berry:
NYC City Proof Matte Long Lasting Blur Lip Color comes in a twistable long plastic case. The product is sealed, and the product-related information is printed on the top of the plastic covering. However, the lip color case doesn’t carry any information on it, except for the shade name on the cap of the smudger.
There are two sides in the Blur Lip Color. One side has the lip color while the other side has a sponge-like smudger. The lip color side has a screw cap that is very tight. The lip color can be twisted up, and it looks similar to a lip pencil. The smudger side is thick and has a transparent cap. Overall, the packaging is very sleek and travel-friendly.
The lip color has a super smooth and creamy texture. However, the quantity looks less, and I am afraid that this product will hardly last a month or two with frequent application. The lip color also gets damaged easily as it is very soft. The smudger looks similar to any eyeshadow brush and can be used to blur or fade the lip color for a natural or ombre effect. I like the lip color as it is, and I haven’t used the smudger sponge a lot.
The shade, “Brooklyn Berry” is a beautiful pink-magenta shade. The color is a softer version of “Lakme Absolute Magenta Magic Lip Tint Matte“. The creamy lip color glides effortlessly on the lips, making the application easier. Considering that the lip color looks like a lip pencil, it can be used to fill in the corner of the lips. The lip color is super pigmented and is buildable. It does provide a moisturising effect to the lips. But, it is mandatory to keep them well-moisturised before applying this lip color.
The lip color provides a beautiful matte finish, which I absolutely love. Because of its bold color, it hides the pigmentation on the lips really well. The product has a good lasting power, and on my lips, it stays for about 5-6 hours, which is satisfactory. The color doesn’t bleed but does transfer a bit. Overall, I like the color and the ease with which I can use it, and the lip color is worth a try.
