My Experience with NYC Classic Kohl Brow/Eye Liner Pencil in 921 Jet Black:

Well this liner was my sil’s finding. She is huge fan of NYC eversince she came in touch with NYC cosmetics sometime back. My mil came here with long list of cosmetics mostly belonging to NYC as per demanded by my SIL and that’s how I came to learn ABC of make up and NYC… 😉 😀 She is a learning model and aspiring actor hence she always hunts for cosmetics every now & then. Thankfully I also get to know so many wonderful things from her. This “Jet Black” as she says is not exactly deep black a normal black good to line her eyes and water line mainly.

For me it is a perfect charcoal black liner just apt for blackest black eyes for normal days or hanging outs. I love the fact that it is creamy and soft on eyes unlike previous one. However, my sil never experienced any problem with these eye liners lucky she is! It glides smoothly on eyes but it takes little more effort to line my lower water line. However I feel that I never get a precise line on upper eyelids in one stroke, I need to go for dots and then join them slowly to make neat and clean line. Thanks to IMBB maestros for letting me know about these mistakes and providing tips to correct them as well! It does not hurt my eyes and even if I wear them for more than 8 hours it does not break out my skin or irritate my eyes. Even my sil says she hardly need a remover as this liner fades away in 6-8 hours with slight smudging which gives nice smokey effect to eyes and she loves that!

It’s good to know that this liner is water resistant but still it is easy to remove by oil or cream. My sil wears contact lenses almost every day and she never experienced any issue with this liner. Moreover, I have also started using it occasionally and I think I like it now. I initially felt that it was slightly rough but as its tip smooths out it gives satisfactory results wow! My sil is blessed with amazing dry skin still she says these liners tend to smudge and fade within 6-8 hours. My sil also uses this pencil to fill in her silky shiny black brown brows but my brows are brown hence I limit its use as a liner only. It could have been great if this pencil was more smooth and soft. Over all we highly recommend this jet black to all black pencil lovers.

Cons of NYC Classic Kohl Brow/Eye Liner Pencil in 921 Jet Black:

• As per my sil it’s not the blackest black you ever get to see
• Staying power is slight average on oily lids
• Initially everyone may find it hard to slide it on eyes unless the tips smoothes out

Well after my bad experience with In the navy NYC eye liner I was quite confused about them but this jet black cleared my doubts. For me it is great black for my eyes and I would love to use it as a kohl even if I need to reapply it every 4-5 hours. My sil is already on her way to repurchase it next time while I am still on my way to use it more often and what about you gals.. ?
