Hello beautiful ladies,
I am back with another pink lipstick and this time it’s from New York Color also commonly known as NYC. NYC has 4-5 types of lip products and the one I am going to review today is the cheapest of them all. The lipstick is called the ultra moist lipwear. These lipsticks are available in 10 different shades and I have 5 of these. The one I will be talking about today is shade number 316 and it’s called blossom.
NYC’s Ultra moist lipwear are simple looking lipsticks with a black bottom and a transparent oval cap. The transparent cap makes it easy to identify the color.
A huge list of ingredients are mentioned on the lipstick itself, but the key ingredient according to the company is vitamin E, which is responsible for making it smooth to apply.
Looking for uptown style? New York Color Ultra Moist Lip Wear adds instant Upper East Side polish to your look at a rock- bottom price. A wardrobe of on-trend shades makes stealing runway looks simple. Built-in conditioner creates a creamy, dreamy texture on your lips for an ultra moisturized feel. From catwalk to sidewalk in seconds, now you’re ready to take on Manhattan!
My take on NYC Ultra Moist Lip Wear – Blossom:
The first thing I noticed about this lipstick was its price. When I saw that it’s only for $0.99, I converted it into INR and found that it was a steal. I immediately picked 5 of these. I actually picked 10, and distributed the rest five amongst my family members. As it was so cheap, I did not expect a lot from this, but when I used it, I felt amazed. It was so smooth to apply. I did not apply any lip balm beneath this and still it was gliding on my lips and my lips were feeling moisturized. The one thing I am most uncomfortable in lipsticks is the stickiness but fortunately, it wasn’t sticky at all. This lipstick is so light on lips that I did not feel that I have anything on my lips. The lipstick does not have the most amazing staying power, but it does stay for a decent amount of time. Blossom does seem matte on lips but it actually has some minute silver shimmer particles. I realized this when after dinner most of my lipstick was gone but my lips were still shining with those little shimmers. Another thing I liked about this was that the lipstick does not have a weird kind of smell. It does have some fragrance but it’s the kind that is a trademark for lipsticks.
• Super affordable. What can you get in $0.99?
• Good pigmentation.
• Decent staying power.
• Very hydrating.
• Smooth to apply.
• Does not dry lips.
• Does not feel sticky at all.
• Creamy texture.
Cons of NYC Ultra Moist Lip Wear – Blossom:
I have little complaint with the packaging. The lipstick does not go completely inside the tube, which makes it difficult to replace the lid. The lid has to be applied very carefully in order to avoid damage to the lipstick. But this little thing can be ignored due to the amazing pros this lipstick has.
So the only con I would like to add is, that these are not available in India.
Would I buy NYC Ultra Moist Lip Wear – Blossom again?
Not this color as I do have similar shades and I will take time to finish them off, but yes I will get a chance I will buy the other 5 colors.
Do I recommend NYC Ultra Moist Lip Wear – Blossom?
Yes, I do recommend this product as this product is super affordable and although not many shades is available, but those available are enough for one’s collection.
I would like to give it a 5/5 as I am sure that this kind of quality cannot be obtained in price less than $0.99
