Hope the New Year is going great for all of you 🙂 I am just starting on eye makeup, still many things to learn. I have never used kajal in my life as I feel my small eyes just vanish and also I have heavy eyelids which make me look perennial puffy. Nevertheless I am determined to try, so last month I bought 2 eye pencils from NYX as I saw them at a good discounted price online. One is NYX slim eye pencil in emerald city and the other one is auto eye pencil in electric blue.
So let’s dive in.

Ingredients:

My take on NYX Auto eye pencil in Electric Blue:

The shade is a vibrant light blue. More like bright sky blue. The texture is not creamy. While applying it feels somewhat powdery. It glides over and under my eyelids easily with no tugging. Pigmentation is very bad. You have to swipe multiple times to get the desired color. It stayed on my eyes for a decent 4 hours without using any primer. I have oily lids but may be due to cold weather it stayed put. It is waterproof but it smudges easily when you rub it. Also the color is a very tricky color to carry off. I feel very fair skinned girls can carry this color with ease.

What I like about NYX Auto Eye Pencil in Electric Blue:

• Cruelty free
• Lead free

What I don’t like about NYX Auto Eye Pencil in Electric Blue:

• Bad pigmentation
• Smudges easily
• Not intense, long lasting or moisturizing
• Very less quantity

Do I recommend NYX Auto Eye Pencil in Electric Blue?

Yes if you love this color and swiping it multiple times is not a problem with you but you can get good eyeliners from other brands. I only purchased this as I found this at good discounted price so no harm in experimenting at this price.
