Today I am here with another NYX product and I think this is my first lip liner review on IMBB. So without frying your “bheja” with my boring lines, let’s head to the review.

Product Description:– Define and perfect your natural lip line with NYX auto lip liner. These lip pencils are made soft for easy application without pulling and dragging. Its sheer formula makes the lip line look natural yet define.

Packaging:- It’s a retractable black color pencil, on which branding, shade name and ingredients are mentioned. The cap doesn’t close tightly and hence comes off easily. A color coding with plastic material is done at the bottom of pencil.

My Take on NYX Auto Lip Pencil- Burgundy

Color, Texture & Pigmentation:– The color is a vivid reddish burgundy shade. Somewhat like a wine color. It will suit almost every skin tone, and will enhance the complexion. texture wise I am totally agree with Bee’s review. It’s such a dud from the family of lip liners. It’s a hard textured lip liner, it tugs & pulls a lot on bare lips without any lip balm coverage underneath. But I think a light application of lip balm in lips will help a lot tackling the hard texture of the liner, it’ll make it glide easily on lips. Although the lip liner doesn’t glide easily, I did not feel any sort of dryness , it somehow managed to keep my lips moisturized throughout. May be I don’t have dry lips. Pigmentation wise its nicely pigmented. It covers the lips in 2- 3 strokes nicely.

Staying Power:- The liner stays on me for 2 hours after that the original vibrant color goes off, but it leaves a strong tint behind it which lasts more long. Well it doesn’t transfer and survives snacking. I thought the dry & hard texture would help it stay in place for long hours. But nothing like that happened.

Pros of NYX Auto Lip Pencil – Burgundy

• A nice reddish vivid burgundy shade
• Suit every skin tone and will even enhance the complexion, if worn alone as a lipstick.
• Nicely pigmented, if used on nicely prep lips.
• Doesn’t tranfer to anything
• Leaves a strong stain behind, I like it.

Cons of NYX Auto Lip Pencil – Burgundy

• Totally a waste, specially texture wise
• Needs nicely moisturised lips for easy application
• Tugs & pulls a lot when applied on bare, dry lips
• Very harsh texture
• Stays for an average time of 2 hours
• Dry lip beauties will hate it.

Recommendation:- No, it’s cheap but don’t waste your single penny for it. There are lots of other creamy soft textured, long lasting lip liners in the market, which are also affordable.
