BB creams are lightweight and give your skin a foundation-like effect. These can be used daily if you are not looking for a very high coverage. Here’s the review of a BB cream I tried. Let’s see how NYX BB Cream fared.
Perfect the “no makeup” look with our BB Cream. Specially formulated without oil, this mineral-infused formula hydrates the skin and helps the complexion appear smoother. Wear it as a primer under your foundation, or alone for a touch of lightweight color.

My Experience with NYX BB Cream:
This NYX BB Cream has a very creamy texture and a faint scent which fades after some time. Though many BB creams are lightweight this one feels pretty heavy. It gives a medium coverage. Still, it gives a very natural finish if excess product is not used. This cream is good for oily skin type as it doesn’t make your skin oilier. But, this cream is not apt for all skin types as it may cause breakouts on certain skin types.
It comes in a tube packaging, which is pretty convenient and travel-friendly. The colour of the cream depends on the shade. I bought the shade ‘Natural’, so the colour is similar to nude or skin colour. Now, let’s come to the main part. I personally prefer to use it as a base or primer. A little goes a long way since it’s pretty heavy and a small amount is just enough because otherwise it leaves a white cast on the skin.
It gives you a dewy finish yet it might not be ideal for dry skin type. If you have dry skin you may mix it with a little moisturiser before application. This cream stays for a long time; on my skin, it stays for about 6 hours. I feel this BB cream is more suitable for winters as it’s heavy and makes my face sweat in summers. So, I wouldn’t recommend this cream for summers.
When applied, it adds a subtle glow to your face but the glow fades away after 2-3 hours. So, it just gives short-lived results. This cream didn’t work well in this area and I was pretty disappointed. I personally prefer Pond’s White Beauty BB+ Fairness Cream over this one because this one doesn’t do everything it claims. The staying power is good and it does add a glow to the skin but it doesn’t last long. NYX offers good product range but this one failed to impress me. I now use this just as my makeup primer.
Pros of NYX BB Cream:
• Gives a natural finish
• Great for oily skin
• Light and pleasant scent
Cons of NYX BB Cream:
• No SPF
• Limited shade range
• May cause breakouts on forehead and oil filled pores
• Leaves a white caste
• The glow fades away after sometime
• Makes my skin look dull
• Very heavy
IMBB Rating: 3.5/5
Would I Repurchase NYX BB Cream?
